Just a day after it was released that NC was going to have to have a re-election due to Republican run voter fraud operation, now a state judge has thrown out the state's constitutional amendment requiring a voter ID, citing prevalent gerrymandering in the state's General Assembly.


“An illegally constituted General Assembly does not represent the people of North Carolina and is therefore not empowered to pass legislation that would amend the state’s constitution,” Collins wrote.

Collins also tossed out a second Republican-backed amendment implementing a cap on the state's income tax.

North Carolina is the most fucked up state. I lived there for 2 years, 11 years ago.

Since then the North Carolina treasury has randomly frozen my bank account 3 times, the most recent was 2 weeks ago. And they do it at 5pm so you have to wait the next day to contact them. Each time I call I have to spend an hour on the phone going through their system then explaining someone that I don't live there anymore and have them lookup the first time they froze my account 6 years ago and the result being I never owed them a dime and left the state in 2008.

When you have a treasury that fucked up and ass backwards it's a sign that the very core structure of the state is defective. Not to mention their corrupt Republican legislature passing laws to limit the power if the incoming Democrat Governor.

North Carolina is where Republicans practice the most extreme anti democracy moves and when they are successful other states follow.

After the North Carolina legislature successfully stole power from the incoming Democratic governor, Wisconsin and Michigan legislators followed their lead and passed legislation taking power from the incoming Democratic governors there. Sad

1) Gerrymandering has historically been a Democrat scam. Of course now it can be seen on both sides but this is just another Democrat voter fraud scheme.

2) So Crockette what about the other DOZEN mid-term elections that were won by a Republican, but then were magically flipped due to Democrats "finding" boxes of mail-in votes or whatever??? Do you acknowledge this and what is your explanation?

Taking guns/weaponsto a protest should resort in federal prison time. I dont care which side they are on. It should be considered same as taking a gun into a federal building.

The people have the right to protest be it they are protesting govt, corporations or each other.

I did a short stint in mortgage banking after college and saw this kind of thing a bit. I'm guessing you have a fairly common name, one where there might be a couple people with the same name in the same town? When they don't know which of the Mike Jones or whatever is the actual debtor, they'll put a lien on all of them. It's lazy as it puts the burden on innocent people to prove that it isn't them, but I guess that it is effective enough that the practice persists.

My name is Thomas Powers, not very common. The government in North Carolina is just fucked up. The first time they froze my account I sent them paperwork and it was all settled in under a week showing I moved out of the state and owed no taxes there. The 2 times they froze it after that it was already in their system, with documentation, that I had left the state. And they froze it years later out of the blue with no notice.
