I have just extinguished my last cigarette

Third time this year goddamnit, and I read Allen Carr’s easyway book four times too. You’d think getting off meth supposed to be way harder than nicotine... I’m undecided so far.

I quit 6 years ago after smoking for 15 years...
I did not read any books but what really helped me is nicotine e-cigs
I was able to start with 10 mg nicotine, then slowly reduced it to 8, 5, 2 mg
It took me 5 months.

I would have never been able to do it without these e-cigs...

i hope this helps you, you have to get rid of cigarette as fast as possible, this is real shit...

Keep on man, i know you can do it !

The price would be the reason I would give up i pay about $23 Au for a pack of 20s and aren't the most expensive due to taxes. I think a fireplace is worse for health than smoking and more oxygen is only a good thing so best of luck with giving up. Smoke some of the alternatives if it is legal where you are. Even ecigs aren't supposed to offer nicotine here.

Yeah, I did it with a small vape. Not one of these huge powered sub ohm billowing clouds of wacky flavours type one. Just a little discreet one that delivers a small amount of vape (Like a cig delivers smoke) its tobacco flavoured and high in nicotine.

I set up one of those counter things online to see how much Id saved. As such I've saved over £10,000 since I stopped in 2016.

I've gone from it costing me £9.00 PER DAY to about £10 per month for a few little bottles of liquid. Certainly worth it - Good luck

A last one? Are you dying? If no, never say that word again. I was a heavy smoker for more than 10 years since my 16. When I realized that I have severe addiction problems, I've just quit. I didn't read Allen Carr and I never told myself: "this one is the last cigarette". I always had a pack of cigarettes in my pocket and I knew that I can smoke in any moment if I want. But I never did that.

That was many-many years ago. Now I can smoke a good Cuban cigar once a few months, but I have no addiction to cigars. As about the cigarettes, so I don't even like to think about them because even their smell associates with a rotten trash for me.

Make an initial investment in a high-powered, 4-battery sub-ohm e-cig. And something like a TFV-12 tank. Get 24 mg nicotine juice. Turn it up to about 150-200 watts. Take a hit or two. Your head will be spinning from the massive nicotine rush like you never got from a cigarette. You'll have to sit down for a few minutes till you come to your senses and the dizziness subsides.

You could smoke a cigarette after doing that. But it would do nothing for you, nicotine-wise. Not after taking that strong of a vape hit. Therefore, quitting cigarettes would be the easiest thing in the world. You'll never look back.

Nicotine, in and of itself, is not a carcinogen. Its no more dangerous than caffeine. Your lungs will immediately begin healing from all the smoke damage. And during this months-long process, you can vape to your heart's content and it won't interfere with your lungs healing at all.

If you dont change your habit and people smoking around you this will not work.

Don't replace an addiction by another one AKA Ecig, vapor etc...

Are you ready to quit ?
Are you quitting for your self ?
What is the main reason that make you want to quit ?

( My wife and i ) Third years no nicotine and it feel great .... My main reason to stop was MONEY $$$$
Every morning I stop at timmis grab 2 coffee $4 - $5 and another stop to Shell gaz station to Grab 2 pact of Cigarette ( $36)...
So total daily morning expense $40 x 30 days = 1200/ month

It was a no brainer, when the recession hit us couple years ago and was in need to cut down Luxury expense TIM horton and Cigarettes was the first items to get ride off.

My wife and i are very please with our saving account today

A healthier junkie with more cash in your pocket though lol

I first stopped for 2 years when ecigs first came out ( who remembers the titan & screwdriver ). For some reason though they started giving me weird heart palpatations, even when i lowered the nicotine right down and i sadly landed back on the stinkies. Now i have been off them for over 2 years again with the 2mg lozenges. I love them. Just place it in the side of your mouth and it lasts for ages and takes the cravings away. As others have said though you also need to change routines with things like meals, breaks etc

Nicotine helps a lot. I was a heavy smoke for 15 years and I quit about 10 years ago. I used these nicotine inhalers because they didn't have the e-cigs when I quit. I would try to find these VS the ecigs since a lot of people just end up picking up using ecigs which is another bad habit. The end goal should be quitting smoking / nicotine all together.

Years ago i owned a small clinic that had a laser treatment to help people stop smoking. The system was call smoking cessation therapy. Using a class 4 lasers we would saturate acupuncture points around the ears nose and hand to help with withdrawal symptoms. This would excite the mitochondria in the blood leaving you feeling relaxed and most people fell asleep. Out of the 4000 people we treated we got an 65% success rate after 6 months. This was huge but in San Diego CA few people smoked so i sold the company. Anyway it was a great system for most people as it relaxed them and helped with the cravings.

What may also help you is to stay away from Coffee and alcohol for a few weeks as the habit or association is tough to break if you continue to drink these beverages. Also stay away from clubs and bars and anywhere that people might smoke either inside or outside the premises. Drink tons of distilled water to flush out the toxins from your body and good luck

I should note that in Canada where i was trained to use these lasers they treat heroin addicts and alcoholics and apparently the success rate was near 85% as it is apparently easier to stop these addiction than nicotine !

Smoked for 30 + years up to 50 a day. Why I quit back in 2009 ?

240/160

My blood pressure that is...( was then). Serious and acute fear of death did it for me and it was instant ( well , about afte 12 hours being monitored in an emergency of a hospital).

I quit 13 years ago and obviously super happy I did. Smoking is so gross.

It took about 8 months for the habit to be completely gone and me to not want one. I also indulged in weed throughout the day when I wanted one. The joys of working from home. =)

According to a former project manager of mind, the most effective cigarette cessation program is a 30 day bid in a jungle-side Cambodian prison.

Destroys 99.9% of all addictions

BS.

"There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes. When burned, cigarettes create more than 7,000 chemicals. At least 69 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer, and many are toxic."

There's none of that shit in vapor. You can go on vaping the rest of your life with none of the effects (or expense) of cigarette smoking. Or use it to wean yourself off nicotine. Nicotine in vapor isn't going to hurt you any more than the caffeine in your coffee hurts you.

After smoking 2 packs a day for almost 40 years, I stopped suddenly 12 years ago after a mild heart attack. It took me 3 months for the feeling of lack to disappear. Nicotine patches helped me a lot during this period. I have never smoked anything since.
I recovered some of my ability to breathe, even though after smoking so long, irreversible lung damage occurred. The good thing is the rediscovery of a rich sense of smell and taste.
The real best thing is that none of my children and grandchildren are smokers.

Of the more than 7,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 250 are known to be harmful, including hydrogen cyanide, carbon monoxide, and ammonia. Among the 250 known harmful chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 69 can cause cancer.

I think it's impossible to quit smoking forever. I don't smoke for two years already but still want to, especially when drinking alcohol.

I think they're finding that it's not all that healthy. I believe they say it's now linked to COPD and could double your risk for heart attack. It's probably too early to say you could vape the rest of your life without risk.

Have not read the whole thread so this might have been recommended before, but look into the Juul or MyBlu ecigs.

I've been of cigs now for almost 2 years, (barring the occasional cig or two when I really want it) but it is all thanks to the two e cigs mentioned above.

I was a pack a day smoker, but these ecigs are nice and will keep you off cigs easily.

Only problem is for me, they are far more addicting cause I can puff away on them all day long at the office. Not ideal if you are looking to quit nicotine but perfect if you want to stop smoking.

Try this combo...

https://www.myvaporstore.com/Suorin-.../suo-air10.htm
https://www.myvaporstore.com/Crisp-M...p/uvl-acrm.htm (get the 12mg nicotine)

If ya like it you'll just need to buy these after 5ish refills....

https://www.myvaporstore.com/Suorin-.../suo-air20.htm

and new liquid going forward but that 100ml bottle will last a while.

I've spent many hundos on ecigs, beginner/advanced hardware, and a whole collection of mint/menthol flavors as I was a pack and a half a day menthol smoker. The above recommendation is a good, cheap, simple to refill demo on a good menthol flavor before ya waste hundos on advanced shit like me to try it out and see if the concept works for ya.

I started with Blu and then went to Juul but the price, leaky pods, shit battery life made me get into experimenting with buying a shit ton of my own hardware/juices.

Good luck! I've smoked my last cig almost ten years ago and today I can't even imagine myself smoking, and also I have no idea why I was doing it in the first place. Try hanging out with people who don't smoke. It can help.

Show me one ejuice that's pure nicotine. Show me one person who vapes pure nicotine. You don't know what you're talking about.

Vaping is the greatest threat that long-established billion-dollar corporations have ever seen, and is threatening to destroy them. These corporations, shareholders, and benefactors (i.e. doctors who profit from treating smoking-related illnesses) are literally grasping at straws in desperation trying to find something, anything, to demonize vaping and put a stop to it.

Show me one person who's developed COPD or has had a heart attack as a result of vaping. That person would be very rich, because big tobacco would pay them very generously to be the national spokesperson against vaping.
