He always feels to me like he is in sales mode. He is a salesman who mostly sells himself and his name. It feels like he is always doing that. It's as if he constantly needs to impress us and in the process of trying to do so he ends up lying and looking worse than had he said nothing at all.

Trump will say something today and lie about it tomorrow because no one stops him. People are too polite to stop someone in mid sentence, and way too polite to interrupt Trump. Any time Trump, or any other politician is interviewed by a reporter and says something that is a lie or is not a fact, the reporter has to have the balls to stop and say "Sorry Mr. President, but that is a lie / that is inaccurate / that is not true", then prove to him on the spot that he's wrong. And if Trump doubles-down on his bullshit, the reporter has to double-down on the facts. Even better, this has to be done during the next debates - to republicans AND democrats. When the contenders are on stage asking for your vote and speaks a lie in order to get it, they have to be fact-checked on the spot, in real time. |
