This is really good question!
But the answer is same as like other questions like this. "Money", there is more money in fighting in AF or IRAQ or ... (Sell weapons, Oil and etc)

Yeah we don’t need to worry about the 30 million illegal mexicans causing ungodly amounts of crime, bringing tons of drugs and costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars a year.
