Does anyone here really want to see Sanders as president?

The co-founders of Home Depot believe if Bernie Sanders were president when they tried to open their business in 1978, the home-improvement retailer may never have existed.

In an exclusive interview with Neil Cavuto, Bernie Marcus and Ken Langone Opens a New Window. explain why.

"Home Depot is the poster child for capitalism," Marcus said.

The two admittedly said they never thought about giving up on their business, even amid the economic downturn Opens a New Window. in the late 70s when the company was born. Marcus pointed out, "people needed product. People still had to build houses, fix plumbing."

I do agree with student loan debt being cancelled though.

Student loans in their current form are predatory and the current law says that you can never get rid of student loan debt unless you pay it off which is predatory as well and should be illegal.

The current student loan debt laws make the people getting the loans indentured servants to the bank until the loan is paid off or they die. Not the American way

The reason college costs are so high is ALL governments doings.. THEY set the pricing if schools accept government grants

Why are many sitting on loan debt? There again, Obama's doings.. Diploma mills went haywire under his rein.. Trump changed the guidelines for them and they are shutting down right and left.. I spoke to a guy who heads up a department at one of these.. He told me that before he took over in the last year that not 1 single student failed a class. These "common core" idiots were sacked with $50k in debt and a worthless degree.

The way China is now investing in education means the west will be the void of the dumb in 20 years, at which stage China will have more people with collage degrees than the USA has population ;)

Forget the trade wars.. its the technology wars that will matter and Trumps already cemented Chinas win there.

The West in general needs to totally rethink their education policies.

SOME western countries need to rethink, in most of them education is "free" already.

But China has a lot of previously neglected human capital they are now putting to use - and their education is an investment in the future.

And that is how education in general should be seen - as an investment.

Of course it's not available for free but if a society is smart enough, they carry the cost to ensure future generations develop into tax paying members instead of either unemployed welfare recipients or tax dodging ultra capitalists.

Back when I was Chefing I employed many staff that had collage qualifications. Doctors, Lawyers and Architects all had the pleasure of washing my pots ;)

20 years later I'd highly doubt any of them still wash dishes ;)
