![]() Hey guys just wanted to ask from your experience, and get your recommendations
Question is: How much do adult sites in 2020 realistically earn per 1000 ad impressions. These are tube and amateur sites that are legitimate, USA traffic, well engaged traffic that is going to a lot of pages/videos and i'm currently not monetizing. I'm aware of exoclick, but wanted to ask who is at the top of their game in this space, who pays the most and how much is that? Thanks in advance! |

That's a pretty broad question with no real answer other than "it depends".
If you have good volume, Exo can pay pretty well. I kind of doubt you have "good volume", though, if you're not monetized at the moment. Unless you just love spending money with no return. But really, without good volume, you won't really make nearly as much per k as someone with good volume. ![]() |

I understand it takes volume, just trying to get a ballpark for what types of earning per 1k impressions are "normal" in the adult/dating space. Lets say for a footer banner at bottom of the page for example.

yeah the answer is still "it depends". On literally everything.
earnings per 1k impressions is already impossible to measure--what kind of impressions are we talking about? Did you stuff the bottom of your page with banners? Those impressions are worth very little. What percent of your impressions are video sliders vs native widgets? How much of your traffic is from india, how much is from germany? How much is a desktop NTV-A impression worth vs a mobile 300x100 above video banner? Is your site niched and its obvious to advertisers what the niche is? The CPM will be higher. All what you can do is make your site as good as it can be and hope the rest follows. Exoclick is at the top of the game and pays the best. Only way you can do better is to have enough traffic that direct buyers and brokers want to work with you. |

where is your traffic coming from ? the rates mostly depend on the traffic source/location.
I started working with ExoClick they seem reliable and trustworthy but CPM is low and I like to make more money on my ads. |

re:
My traffic is american, and there's no other banners or anything on the site. I guess i'll have to just plugin exoclick and give it a try. If there's any other networks that would be recommended would love to hear. Thanks for the feedback guys

You can choose to find an affiliate offer that converts great for your niche, and make over $150 for 1000 clicks ( find an offer that converts 1:100, and that's totally possible for some niches/traffic ).
Even almost two identical offers might give completely different results in earnings, you really have to try different offers or switch landing pages to see what works... Or you can sell your traffic to AD Networks and make a couple of cents, which I never really understood... It's the safest bet for sure, but also extremely low. ![]() Why not stick with Rev Share or Pay Per Sale (or even some PPL) offers man, it's almost impossible to earn less then the rates you'll get from Ad Networks. Even if you have only a single sale a week ($25 - $50), it's probably still more then you'd be earning with an AD Network (unless you really have huge amounts of traffic). |

Also don't add too many ads. You often see those 3 * 300x250 AD blocks, I mean, let's be honest, if you place yourself in the visitor... Would you click on an AD block that looks this spammy? Maybe make an unique banner that fits the style of your website? Self hosting banner also helps by-pass AD blockers, so that's another win.
