Dental Implants??

I wonder if anyone has had a set of vampire teeth made. I remember when people were altering their ears to elf ears? Seems like something the youth of today would do.

EDIT - Zombie teeth would be more appropriate these days I suppose... Vampires were 10 years ago LOL

gotta be very careful with implants, break easily and no nuts, no ice. even broke a tooth tearing open a small pack of candy. the larger canines will be 'work' to keep in good shape.

I wasn't think of them personally... just something that popped into my head and wondered if anyone has heard of anyone doing this.

Although, the ClearChoice do not look too bad.. Snap in and out. Wonder what that would feel like. It has to be a strange feeling.

We run two dental clinics. Any dentist that did any sort of permanent implants like that would probably lose their license very quickly.

EDIT - Sorry... Just saw you were in Poland..... Here in the US, we have companies that do dental implants.... ClearChoice. There is another but forget the name. They advertise their implants. They snap in and out but advertised as implants.

Where I understand there is a level of licensing with the dental profession is unlike tattoo shops that do all kinds of modifications with no licensing... (Reminds me of the movie "American Mary" more or less.) you just never know these days... I mean they are not permanent, but interchangeable teeth can be an issue identifying criminals I suppose.

I am sure if there is money to be made from it, someone will make them. Capitalism and all... Americans don't really care if the product will harm you as long as someone makes money... Look at tobacco. ;)

That's not really implants then, that is prosthetic/denture kinda thing. Implant is when they drill this screw thing into the bone and mount a tooth made of porcelain or ceramic on it. They don't snap on/off like that.

They do drill the mechanism that holds down the dental plate to the gums. So in a sense, the teeth may come in and out, but there are things that are drilled into the bone.

So I got my Aunt a new set of teeth. Sounds similar to what this guy is explaining. I think it was 4 posts top and 4 on bottom....and then they connect the whole set of teeth to those posts and they never come out.

It would seem they "snap on" at first but they just stay on.

That sounds about what was shown on the television commercial. However, these ones were shown being removed to show the anchors. Of course, that was also a 3D model of it not a real person.

I do think I would go down this road when necessary, seems better than always having to put that denture adhesive in your mouth all the time. Or to worry if they slip or come out while in public.

I think I've seen this, they put in 4-6 post into the jaw bones then attach the 'complete dentures'

I got my false teeth for fee. During the final fitting I deliberately soiled myself... The smell was overpowering and I made a huge fuss about where could I go to clean up, and started pulling my pants down in front of the dentist and his assistant and everyone was so shocked / flustered / offended / Grossed out etc, that during all the commotion I slipped out the fire escape and disappeared. Then I simply moved house so they couldn't find me

Good times

A couple of friends of mine did this in the 90's. Well, not implants as there is no reason to replace perfectly healthy teeth, but permanent vampire fangs. One of them recommended her dentist to me and he actually ended up being my regular dentist for years, but he said that I grind my teeth too much to have fangs, that I would just snap them off.
