Any known disadvantages to incorporating a webcontent and cam company in Panama? - GoFuckYourself.com

In the process of helping restructure a web content company that is going to branch over into a fans-style site.

I happen to live in Panama but want to know if anyone has found any disadvantages to incorporating an adult content company in Panama?

I have been looking into it and outside some articles from 10+ years ago saying many adult companies were incorporated and run from Panama can not find anything with recent news or advice.

This is adult-specific obviously I am aware of the benefits of a Panama corp for general companies but want to make sure I am not missing anything that relates specifically to the adult industry.

My only thought it is, getting credit card processing with a PA corp won't happen, so you'll be forming US/EU companies for that anyway. At that point your Panamanian holding/operating corp is already a step removed from adult content.

Yea I am oldschool a bit being in this since 2001 and yes this board has changed a lot not as helpful haha.

Thanks for your response though. You are 100% correct and we were discussing this. The Panama corp would end up being a holding corp and have to own a American corp to get a bank for CC processing anyways.

Back when they had the adult webmasters conferance in panama more then 10+ years ago many content providers claimed to be based out of here. I wonder who is left?

Why not incorporating instead in Cyprus? I think that is currently most popular destination for adult companies.

What are you trying to achieve with the Panama company?

If it is just for the liability of the content maybe separate that from the rest of your corporate structure. Panama companies do not exactly have a good reputation internationally these days so it will probably work against you in terms of getting cc processing and banking.
