Im on COLD TURKEY! 3 Weeks Drug Free!

Its been nearly 3 weeks now. No coke, no weed, no alcohol, no smokes!
Thought i do something for myself and quit the stuff for a while but its just not worth it at all. I dont feel healthier, motivated or anything else of this stuff you always hear about when people quit drugs. Its bullshit.

Watching a good old movie without being stoned... WTF?
Partying at a stripclub without coke and champagne...WTF?
No cigarette after getting a rimmjob..WTF?
Watching UFC without a cold beer...WTF?

Life without drugs just sucks!

today is my first day in months with no green... i did get a lot of work done this morning, but now i'm starting to feel that no-weed tension and i know i'm going to have a hell of a time getting to sleep tonight.

and i totally agree that life is no better without drugs. drugs are the icing on the cake, as long as the rest of your shit is in order.

Are people that clueless?

The talk about life getting better after stopping drugs is from people who were junkies and their lives had spun out of control. It's not referring to recreational drug users.

Whether its drugs, alcohol, eating, gambling or partying....or anything you do, the way i see it is :

1) Always know your limit or you kill it...
2) Dont abuse it to use it again....
3) Be moderate and keep trying everything at least once in life ( ah ah remember rule # 1, know your limits and everyone has its own limit so dont get any ideas i wouldnt do lol ) ....that way you live life : -)

Peace out...

Boredom is def one of the problems unless u get to a point where the stuff no longer does it for you anymore. The point of giving up up all this stuff is obviously health factors . I have battled with alcohol on and off since 18 but recently i am managing to keep of it permanently with my binges reaching its height at a 70cl bottle of vodka and a bottle of wine in a day.
Cocaine, heroin and stuff i have never tried so i dont know what it would do for me. You have to have valid reasons and concerns to stop and stay off otherwise like being fat and liking your food you won't make it!

That is excellent going JVA. I managed nearly a month just before my first born hatched. As you say, it didn't make me feel any healthier or happier.

No red wine with a scotch fillet? No Sauvignon Blanc with Oysters? You can see my problem with alcohol restriction comes in.

I can leave all the rest behind, been there, done that. Just can't kick alcomohol. I don't want to either.

Moderation in all things so they say.

that's way too fucking easy, I'm trying to quit eating and I can't

been eating carrots all day but all I can think of is the leg of lamb I have in the freezer and how good it'll look after 2 hours in the oven

trying to lose weight is the most difficult thing in the World, word!

Yeah, for my feeling i have never been addicted to anything beside hookers. Im fucking serious here.
I took drugs multiple times a day but didnt have a problem to leave them a couple of days and then start again.
3 weeks ago, i quit everything in a heartbeat. Think it was the result of a convo with another gfy´er what gave me the motivation to quit.
Now i dont feel bad or weird for doing no drugs at all, its just a very different kind of fun i have now. I woudnt say its worth but its just not fitting my lifestyle to stay sober yet.
Anyway, ill try to keep it up till i´m settled in boracay and then i will think about it again.

Quit drinking for 6 months and see how you feel.

I did the same thing for over ten years. Always going dry, trying to stay totally sober, and then crash into the booze again.

Recreational, lifestyle, all of it. And it didn't seem like it was affecting me in a bad way at all.

Then I quit, not for a couple weeks, for a good solid 6 months. You start to see things differently. When you don't escape from normal life and medicate, even if you think you're celebrating something, things become much more clear. Everything.

And, if you can give up alcohol, you probably won't want to do other things as much either. Who wants to do coke with no alcohol? eww. People quit smoking easier without drinking. Alcohol is the gateway drug.

I hate to sound like some sober person preaching, but I cannot stress enough how your perspective on life will completely change when you stop medicating with alcohol.

I'm over 3 years now, and I feel like I did before I started drinking heavy at age 20.

That's because it takes longer than 3 weeks to feel the positive effects. You're still in the withdrawal stage, and you'll be there for a while yet.

Reaping the benefits of quitting drugs is about much more than just stop consuming. You have to change your bad habits for healthy habits.

A wise man once said "Quitting drugs is easy. Now comes life."

EDIT: Just noticed this is a really old thread. Oh well, my comment still stands.

Of course you'll get bored if all you do is sit down and watch tv
An idle mind isnt the only devil's playground but so is the body.
You need to do something, go for a hike. Ride a bike, something you wont typically do drunk or high

I never took any drug but I have addictions! During my teenage years, I started smoking, drinking, and fucking. In adulthood, these three recurring acts have become very addictive. Smoking two packs of cigarettes a day, drinking a full bottle of wine at every meal and emptying my balls two or three times a day in the love holes of my conquests was my life style.

When I reached retirement age, I had to quit smoking and drinking alcohol for health problems, it wasn't easy! I lived through three months of hell to get rid of these addictions for good. I also became impotent without having lost my sex addiction so I now periodically rent a call girl who gives me a rim job after I have eat her juicy pussy. The rest of the time, I observe the pretty round and protruding asses molded in tightly jeans of the girls walking in the streets.

For some, life with drugs is truly awful. They hear stories of people who quit and claim to have never been happier, and they wonder why that same transformation hasn’t happened for them. Everyone’s situation is unique, and for some, the goal doesn’t have to be total abstinence—it can be about harm reduction. The idea that it’s all or nothing is overly simplistic, much like the blanket statement that all drugs are bad.

I know hardcore alcoholics who transitioned to less harmful drugs. Would they be better off without either? Maybe. But the potential health benefits of cutting out everything might be outweighed by the constant daily struggle of forcing oneself through life, gritting their teeth, and repeating the mantra, "one day at a time."

The guy always sounded like a fake Boneprone nickname . . . Balconies and partying are never a sound pairing.

Don't do any drugs and sober 3 months no alc, best time of my life! Healthier, getting up at 5-6am, full power, laser focus, more joy during a day!

I quit everything cold turkey except weed (on and off, on now) once fentanyl hit. Was never a real drinker.

Went through the boredom and sleepless sweaty nights. Takes months for the imbalances to balance themselves out. Just got a stick to it and your body and mind will learn to get joy in other ways.

Weed is a part of my personality. I love it. But every now and then I cold turkey it for a while too just to see if I still am the master of myself. Fun challenge, and resetting the tolerance has nice benefits.

Be careful - If you're sober for too long in eastern Europe people will start suspecting that you are a western spy.
