How do you prepare for AI replacment of traditional search
Pretty much all my revenue comes from search engine traffic to my network forward to programs . I dont see this model working when AI ends up replacing traditional search engines (let’s assume for argument’s sake that it does).
The only alternative I can think of is shifting to social media, but I’ve never had much success there. Lately, I’ve been considering selling physical products instead. Anyone else in the same situation and how do you see the future?

A very good question.
Without having done too much research into the topic, I would venture a guess that we're going to see an impetus on more 'social authority' and sites that have 'longevity' being ranked higher in AI search results, purely based on the type of sites being shown in the AI SERP's presently. It would seem to be the next logical step in the evolution of SEO that we're going to have to start getting more repeat visitors to our web properties, over a longer period of time, in order to rank higher in the results. Exactly how that algorithm would work though is anyone's guess but I'm sure some of the boffins at Google HQ are already working on, if not completed this type of algorithmic trust / repeat visit results display. Maybe results will also start taking into account domain registration length, downtime, validated registration details over the long-term too in order to verify that the site owner is showing a genuine long-term development for the domain/website. Whatever ends up happening, the next few years online are going to change significantly and quickly now that AI tech seems to be getting integrated into most aspects of our lives, whether we like it or not (computers, phones, customer support, grocery shopping, etc).

In the same boat as well. AI will probably dominate in question based searches, but I don't see it taking over all aspects of search. I've already started to put AI to use in every day tasks and I think the future outlook for SEO is promising. It will definitely change from what has worked in the past, but change can usher in new opportunities.

I'm thinking that none of this matters until the Age Verification issue is resolved.

I get what you're saying and genuinely hope that is the case
![]() Over the last 5 or 6 years, we've really zoomed in on question-based searches and providing answers, realizing how valuable information is in this space. By focusing on this, we've been able to supply easy to understand answers which has directly helped increase our profits. For us, gathering, organizing, and delivering the right info when it is searched for, has had a huge financial impact across a range of the platforms we distribute on. Part of that is because once we package and distribute the information, its long-term value will (and quite often does) keep generating income, with little to no additional work needed on our end. Looking ahead, my main concern with AI is how things might change when customers become more educated about AI and start asking the search engines more specific, direct questions instead of the broader ones we’ve been benefiting from, like those starting with "who," "what," "where," "when," "how," and "why." This shift could change how we, as a company, approach and benefit from search-based interactions. Content-based search results have been working well for us so far, but when the dynamic changes, we'll need to experiment with different options to figure out the best way forward.

I used to sell DVDs. But that business (medium) dried up years ago.

My biggest converting terms are also question based.
a lot of affordable and cheap terms convert well If I ask chatgtp for affordable webcam sex sites it gives a nice list: If you're looking for affordable webcam services, here are some popular options known for offering various pricing tiers and discounts: Chaturbate - Offers free streams and the ability to purchase tokens for private shows. CamSoda - Known for low-cost options and frequent promotions. LiveJasmin - While premium, it often has discounts for new users. BongaCams - Provides a mix of free and paid shows with competitive prices. MyFreeCams - Popular for its community feel and flexible tipping system. Sometimes even with clickable links. I do not like it at all. ![]()

It will be just another TGP, MGP or Tube sites .. another way to make money and people will adapt to the market. There will always be money for porn in the big wheel, if not more.

That's what I'm seeing now. Google AI answers every question.
We need content that people want to see and read; sports analysis, entertainment etc. Let's see where Search goes. Google has conditioned me to get a negative reaction to the word 'change' as it's usually not good for webmasters. But like you said, we'll see. |

I was worried but after seeing the results Copilot or Gemini are giving, no one will use that crap for adult searches. I mean, when I ask about cam sites, the response is the same, offering three site (without links). When looking for, for example, big tits camgirls , I am always getting useless youtube results.

Chatgtp obviously doesnt like you, that's what you get for calling it shitgtp.
But this is besides the point. We are in the beginning, current search engines will still be here for some time If AI never replaces it, all the better. But I think it's not smart to not have a plan ready.

and The fact that AI only shows direct links to the main, well-known sites is exactly the problem. That said, the point of this thread isn’t to debate the accuracy or usefulness of current AI-generated results. This discussion is about how we can adapt when/if AI eventually replaces 'normal' search. Even though it’s still early to predict how AI search will evolve, it doesn’t hurt to start preparing now."

But what are the options for "preparation considering webmasters can't affect AI in any way similar to what we did with SEO practices?
Based on these inconsistent and boring results, most of the users will not use AI, at least for porn searches. Maybe it is my personal view of the situation and I am biased, but I am sick of generic-looking articles on sites, politically correct answers, and self-confidence in AI responses, (even if answers are wrong). People's communication already sounds like talking to robots.

AI search optimization (AISO) is the thing. Top SEO agencies are doing it.
