How many other people on here are barely scraping by?

Tomorrow my car insurance payment comes out for $84 Canadian, and I have $1, but I have like 3 different possible online incomes that MIGHT come in tomorrow. I had to spend my last $30 tonight getting drunk and listening to Canadians say the most insane and vile hate-filled shit about Americans at the bar, they act as if America already murdered 1000 Canadian toddlers. Fucking wild times we live in, like a lightbulb was switched on and now Canadians are speaking like America raped their mom. The brainwashing of Canadians is completely over-the-top. COVID worked wonders to program all of these NPCs. In the last 24 hours, all of these random dipshits have become huge Canadian patriots like their programming has been changed. So bizarre to witness but it makes perfect sense if you understand mass manipulation. The system wants middle and lower class Canadians to hate middle and lower class Americans, because then nobody will blame their governments for serving the elite and not them.

Fingers crossed I don't get hit with the NSF fees, because the insurance company will bang my shit twice for a total of $90 in fees for the bank that is a billion-dollar profiting company... just trying to survive and get my 4th book out into the world is extremely difficult!

I have got a bunch of stuff up for sale on Facebook Marketplace, but things just haven't worked out quite yet, so I'm literally dancing on $0 and trying to survive. It is SO cold, -12c, and heading to -18c this week and the mice have been having a Royal Rumble in my kitchen and all across my shit for weeks now.

Am I the only dipshit who is living in extreme poverty on this board or are there other fellow near-homeless people here? I really hope other Canadians on this board aren't falling for the massive propaganda wave spreading across all social media. Canadians are completely gung-ho on this anti-America wave and it is ridiculous. There is no way Trudeau and Trump are enemies in private, they're on the same team. I was in your spot for 2014/2015... Every blackhat thing I was doing got clobbered by Google. Every trademark I was using got pulled. Everything just sucked. I got by with Fiverr and doing gig work here. But so much has changed since then. I don't think the gig work is even available anymore.

These days I am doing a lot better than then. I just made the most ever last year. I am still doing things similar to before, but I am not completely black hat about it anymore. And I keep doing more and more new things to expand my income and business.

I would never spend $30 on drinking back in 2015. I wouldn't go to a bar. I still don't like going to a bar to drink. I only just did so in Puerto Rico because their drinks and beers are cheaper at a bar than here in the mainland. Reminded me of Mexico prices.

At one point I owed the IRS over $200,000. I know how much it sucks to get your bank account levied and to have them keep attacking you. One little tip: Make an LLC and keep your money in that account. They won't usually pull it from a business account because it has an EIN and not a SSN. Got that all cleared up though a few years ago. It is so nice to have my passport back. Now if I can just get my hands on my ePassporte!

An LLC is a good tip regardless, but I assure you, they will pull from a business account. Being an LLC means your personal account can never be levied.

IRS claims Q2 and Q3 taxes are not accounted for, but Q4 are. Accountant immediately remedied Q3 because he had access to that info, as all he had to do was tell Quickbooks about the levy and they escalated it internally due to the nature of the issue.

We then identified that Q2 was with Square and to access that info.

They claim that they paid the taxes but never filed because their system defaults to paying quarterly but filing annually, and since I left them for my own accountant in Q3, my accountant was the authorized person to handle taxes, and Square was unable to file, but claims paid still.

I asked why I wasn't notified of this 2 years ago, they claim they notified me. I asked how. They sent an email. That's it. Nothing in dashboard, no notifications internally, no "here's all emails we sent you, if you never received one" absolutely nothing except a "Action Needed" badge on a table field 4-5 clicks deep in payroll settings pages.

I was supposed to know purely from just an email and nothing more that my taxes were not being filed correctly by them. I never received this email btw. It either failed to deliver or went to spam where it was garbage collected.

When I was frustrated with all this I said the word fuck a few times, and also repeatedly asked to speak to someone who speaks English because I spelled my name and email multiple times and they could never spell it correctly thus were unable to access my account and help me.

I was told swearing was not "productive conversation" and asking to speak to someone who speaks English was "racist" and then after I finally was in to someone who could somewhat help me, I was told the information I needed was not possible to get. They have it, but it's not mine to request. This person also contradicted themselves many times and in a couple cases I had to explain how their own system works to them.

Ultimately, even after this gets resolved, we're probably going to look into what legal things we can do, because they did not take the severity of this seriously and constantly refused to help resolve a fuckup on their end over some of the stupidest reasoning ever.

I'm uploading from a 2 mbit upload connection so each site takes 20-30 minutes to upload to... manually doing it would be EXTREMELY tedious. It works great overnight and is a bit faster too. The uploads often fail as well, so the retry feature is really handy.

I do get listed at around 20-30 sites, so it's really not worth it to manually do it, especially if I'm doing 4-5 compilations per day x 20-30 sites, 100+ manual uploads per day...

Fingers crossed I get a PayPal tomorrow, I'm so hungry I can't sleep, having another glass of water. Had a great little daydream of a scene for the 4th book, it's been sooooooo fun to write. The first page and last page are finished, and once I get to that point, the book writes itself through daydreams real quick.

Im sure there has got to be some workaround such as uploading your videos once to Google Drive or some sort of FTP/Bucket and using those to upload to tube sites. Alot of them accept urls instead of direct uploads. Or get a cheap VPN/Virtual Computer to handle file uploads.

With a good password manager, properly organized bookmarks for quick logging in, you could easily bang out those submissions in 1-2 hours.

I used to do the same thing when submitting galleries back in the day. If you optimize your flow you won’t depend on software

Will have a shit ton of movies in the queue so I can setup 30 days worth of uploads (150 uploads or so) in like 1 day and then forget about it for the next 30 days.

The last week or so I've re-written like 20k words in the book for the Trump tariffs, it's a silly action-crime-comedy novel, but it totally fits into the whackiness of 2025 already. I guess us Canadians better buckle up, because shit is gonna get wild for the next 4 years!

There is plenty I can do, but even at $30-$40 an hour you're not going to be making any real money in Canada and all your time is gone so you won't really be able to work on anything else. A full time 9-5 job would only allow me to negligibly upgrade my lifestyle but completely consume all of my time. A $40 an hour job in Canada is only $25, or less, USD an hour, and on top of that you'll be taxed up the ass, so that $40 an hour becomes like $200-$220 a day Canadian, fast. Then you're spending 1 hour probably commuting each way and probably at least $10 in gas per day...

Like I said earlier, it is better to be poor but creating, than be the working poor and not creating.

Sold a snow tire to my neighbour yesterday so I got money for food... doing firewood deliveries this week with a buddy for some rent money too. At least these gig jobs pay like $50 cash for like an hour worth of work and I can do them to cover the basics without having to commit to a 9-5 which steals all of your time and mental energies.

Before COVID, I was doing caregiving for disabled seniors and working towards getting a bigger vehicle. A 20 passenger bus was like $10,000 in decent shape, and I was looking into making arrangements to drive more seniors around and take them places. My boss, a lady who was retiring from respite work, estimated I could've made like $5000 a weekend driving seniors around to their stops and taking them out to the park and such because lots of families are willing to pay for their seniors to get out of the care homes or house for the day. If you just had 10 passengers for 4 hours going to the park for an ice cream and to walk around in the sun, you can make like $15 per hour per senior, x4 hours, x10 seniors, and do that twice a day on the weekends. $1200 in 8 hours minus gas... Then usually at least a half dozen families want their senior to go spend a weekend at an AirBNB (that they pay for) so you can take their senior to some events or a movie or something to keep them entertained, and then you get the $150 overnight fee per senior as well, plus $15 an hour per senior as your very base rate, where a lot of people are paying like $50 an hour for premium respite work. Caring for the olds is big business and some people pay out the ass for Grandma to have the best care. There was a dentist lady who paid $500 a day for just her brother to get the best care, as both his knees were fucked and he walked at like 1 kilometer per hour, but he loved to walk around parks and bird watch. I made good money taking him for coffees at the Nanaimo waterfront and helping him operate his camera to get photos of seagulls.

Of course, refusing the clot shot killed that path!

These days I am doing a lot better than then. I just made the most ever last year. I am still doing things similar to before, but I am not completely black hat about it anymore. And I keep doing more and more new things to expand my income and business. I would never spend $30 on drinking back in 2015. I wouldn't go to a bar. I still don't like going to a bar to drink. I only just did so in Puerto Rico because their drinks and beers are cheaper at a bar than here in the mainland. Reminded me of Mexico prices. At one point I owed the IRS over $200,000. I know how much it sucks to get your bank account levied and to have them keep attacking you. One little tip: Make an LLC and keep your money in that account. They won't usually pull it from a business account because it has an EIN and not a SSN. Got that all cleared up though a few years ago. It is so nice to have my passport back. Now if I can just get my hands on my ePassporte!
