When I was in the Bar/Restaurant business we had about %0.05 chargeback ratio.

but what do they allow for other transactions? 1% just seems crazy. hell 2.5% seems nuts considering how easy it is to chargeback.

The key here is swipe vs. online orders where you do not see the card. In years of swipe business I NEVER had a chargeback. In online ordering we see them at least monthly.

I have said before that all online merchants have a problem with chargbacks. When we actually receive documentation of a chargeback we are usually in the comany of Ibill, CCbill as well as Amazon, OfficeMax etc.
