Gutterboy:
News for you... it is unfortunate when any company hits the dust - both for their clients and staff, but this happens *every* day. I've had many companies go bust on me.. but I sure ain't gonna dwell on them for longer than 5 minutes after the liquidation papers arrive! Tis time to wipe your mouth and plow on! If all you can respond with is "dipshit" you are a loser! ![]() |

Webby perhaps you are right - but there are stated instances of them taking sign-ups right up till about an hour before they closed up.
All the wires that were supposed to go out the night before they collapsed were never sent. That says to me that they knew they were in trouble. If they knew that why did they continue billing for webmasters? Now you convince me that there isn't something rather odious about all that.

Which leads me to believe they were already on their way out the door before Visa came knocking - For several months, Globill worked with a skeliton staff etc. - So I am pretty damn sure this was a fully planned piece of shit. Forget getting anything back - That ain't going to happen - Bee a nice idea to set up a globill fund - I am certain a few would contribute a few bucks - So we could pay some hit guy to give them a greetings card!

I looked at sign-up ratios vs total "join" page hits. My new sign-ups with Globil increase by 47% during that period. I had a slight increase with Probilling and Globosale to the toon of 3.45%.
If I was a dectetive what would I think, Watson? Note: Happy as I was, with the increase I foolishly spend too much and did not save the same ratio of increase as I had normally. Pork and bean from now on, no more lobster and steak. ![]()

![]() If ever there were a wolf in sheep's clothing -it is Glo-Bill. Those con-artists played us like a fucking fiddle - with constant posts on their webmsters board to reassure us of their stability.
I had several sign-ups which were accepted less than an hour prior to Glo-Bill closing up shop on the morning of 7/25. I had deposited a check from Glo-Bill on 7/22 - which was returned to me just a few days ago - and the reason given was "Stop Payment" as opposed to NSF. They are holding our reserve money - which according to the information on their site - QUOTE: "Glo-Bill only holds 5% of webmaster sales in rolling reserve (10% for webmasters earning over $5,000 bi-weekly). Each pay period, the reserve amount from the pay period 6 months prior will be added to your paycheck. The rolling reserve protects Glo-Bill and customers should you suddenly close down your website, requiring us to refund it's members. But rest assured that any reserve is YOUR money and will be returned to you according to the schedule as long as you abide by ethical business practices" Any recent attempts to login to the webmasters area to access what little information they have made available - were unsuccessful - I received the following message: Database Error! Quote Error ID: 66296-10600021460 They ran off with our money and do not have any plans on paying. When Lancelot pulled the exact same thing last September - this board was littered with posts from angry webmasters (myself included) but less than one year later - Lancelot's sins are all but forgotten. We haven't received a penny from them - yet Terry & Elizabeth Neves have been busy spending our cash. They own a home in Jupiter Beach FL - as well as several beach front condos - each one costing between $600,000-$800,000. Third party billing companies are able to close-up shop - while owing us hundreds of thousands of dollars. We are left with unanswered questions, as they can't be reached by phone or email - It's a fucking license to steal. |

We got to face facts - Too many criminals are running big pieces of this industry because of the huge profits that can be made - When globill, sypro, sunnydollars, lancelot do things on a large scale - No one really gives a fuck as it deflects attention from their own scams - When small-time webmasters hit on a way to scam a programme, you hear nothing, or very little - Why?
Because that would increase for need for the industry to be regulated - The big guys certainly do not want that, do they? Yet, slowly but surely Visa are taking over that mantle of regulators - And it is easy to see where the last push to get the most out of the time left is coming from, before Visa make further changes to take more control of this biz.

It's in part the problem with having a business that's both so global and attracts so many people with little or no money. Unfortunately it costs money to prove in court you've been ripped off and this is even more true when the company/individual that has done so is in another country. That makes action by 99% of people impossible and means the unethical and often illegal practices continue and will do so for the foreseeable future.
Any true regulation will never be to protect the individual and stop shady business practices (who want's to pass laws protecting smut peddlers?), but rather legislation designed to make it more and more difficult for all concerened. Even now, although the VISA regs are helping to clean up the industry still further, they are also starting to damage a lot of people who were already running a tight ship and were just unlucky(not everyone lives on boards to know the situation) enough not to see the writing on the wall. Although this business has been in a state of flux from the start with constant changes it has never been as turbulent as it is now. It's not just the strong who will and do survive and/or prosper in times like this - unfortunately the thieves and cheats do too. |

I think they knew on or about the 22nd, not as early as the 3rd. If they had known doubt I would have been able to cash three of their checks on the 19th.
I do believe they were less than forthright about their inability to process credit cards on the 22nd. Thats when the "UNVERIFIED SIGNUPS" first appeared and they sent a letter to one of our customers claiming it should be resolved in 72 hours. At that time they should have been forthcoming and stated the problems as they were developing. I also doubt we will ever see any of our money. However when I get a second I will put together a report detailing what they owe me. Bottomline after getting burned by both DMR & Globill I will no longer rely soley on 3rd party processors. |

I used Globill for a few days when my processor was down months ago. I never signed the contract and faxed it back to em so I didn't get paid. looks like I won't be getting paid now.
Oh well. |

I was able to cash some globill checks as late as July 20 so I doubt they were able to ran off with a ton of cash. Also, all the "signups" between July 21-25 were "unverified" meaning the cards were not even charged since they lost their merchant account so they couldn't have got that money either. It looks more like they were in a mad scramble to try and get back up and running somehow but then gave up when it was clear that visa terminated them.
From what I have read on this board about merchant account terminations it looks like the banks and Visa are the ones that grab most of the funds and then fine the shit out of the account to grab as much money as possible. they are probably the biggest bandits. At this point, I sent in the letter to St. kitts and am just waiting for a response. If i get no money back whatsoever then I will call globill the worst scum, along with merchant banks and Visa. But if they even at least give me pennies on the dollar back, then at least I would not feel totally raped and that they care to do the right thing to some degree. We'll see. The notice they sent implied they would respond by Sept 15th or around that.

The bottom line was and is..if you're going to take someone to court (if they haven't declared bankruptcy), it's going to cost you a lot of money and you may end up losing MORE than what's owed you. And I think the e-processors who have gone out of business know that. |

Fuck, I love all the conspiricy theorys, especially as most of em are bullshit! First thing, move the fuck on! we lost 1000s and i mean 10s of 1000s, it hurt, and we were fucked..........for around 12 hours. Then you pick yourself up from the gutter, start again learn and move forward.
Expect your money back ? not a chance or very little. We spent 6k getting it checked out, no hope dude. your bucks are gone. As for globill knowing, they did around 3 days before. We were given around 16 hours notice to pull our sites. Not by Mr Globill, but by a tech suport who had worked with us on our accounts for a long time. He was cool, he was out of a job, and very pissed of. Im not naming names cause I dont wanna get him into any shit. The powers that be tried in vain for some days to find an alternate processor. they couldnt and they fired all but 1 guy left in the office, him that gave us the nod. i get the feeling that they all felt they had a real chance of saving it. Now im as pissed as anyone at globill, and have no reason at all to defend em, and im not. They fucked up BIG TIME! But people, its time to move, we have and we are making the dollars again! ![]() |

I agree with salon. This is so 'last week'. We all got burnt. They only thing we can hope is that they do have *some* money and that they will give some of that some money back to us. Maybe there is little chance of that happening. But who knows. It doesn't hurt to keep my fingers crossed. I await their response.

Either way, I have moved on and it's all water under the bridge. the only way to make cash in this biz is to just dust yourself off everytime you take a hit, learn from the mistakes and go forward to make even more mnoney.
