Epassporte? What's going on?

Recieved this:

"Dear epassporte Cardholder,
Epassporte monitors your account closely to insure that your funds are protected from fraudulent use. Your account has been temporarily suspended, pending our investigation, due to unusual activity.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please contact epassporte as soon as possible.

Regards,
epassporte Cardholder Services
[email protected]"

What the? I only used the account to collect for services and to make some payments.

Yeah. Just another friendly account closure and fund seizure for the good of the company.

Anybody else had this? If yes, howlong did it take to open the account again? I kinda need it badly.

Maybe one of the people you did transactions with was doing something that was not legit. They may be checking every person they did business with.

I have not had any problems with epassporte whatsoever.

I would just contact them like the letter says. I hope you hear from them soon.

I am aware of why some accounts were frozen, but I do not know specifically the account names that were. Judging from your timing and the wording in the notice you have received, I would tend to think your account is part of the investigation.

While we try to accomodate people as best we can, there are still terms and conditions to having an account. If you, or someone you have transactions with, has violated those terms, especially if there is a chance it was done willfully, then we have not only the right, but the obligation to the rest of our accountholders, to investigate the matter and take what action we feel necessary while investigating.

I'm sure that IF you're part of the issue I am referring to, that there will be a conclusion shortly once the parties in question have been investigated. What the outcome may be, I cannot tell you since I do not handle the fraud management or have direct access to accounts.

If this is not something you did but simply something you are caught up in, then my apologies from the start, and with that said, it doesn't change the fact that we still have procedures to follow in order to provide the best services to our account holders while maintaining a good business at the same time.

Oh and on that note, if you would like to email me with your account name, I will be happy to see if I can assist you, especially if you are not part of the situation I am referring to.

I have sent an email to epassporte as why my account is suspended. Could you please enlighten me and tell me why my account was suspended - as in what happened exactly?
Flashcash opened this account for me, does it have anything to do with that?

Both emails from both people were received and I've replied.

I have no intention of discussing either where to find your CVV2 or what may have prompted an account freeze on a message board, for obvious reasons.

RedBumper, your situation may take more time to resolve than the other email I answered, since fraud control does not work on the weekends, just card services, I have however, emailed the head of that department and he does check email periodically though its the weekend.

3 weeks ago I went to the bank machine and tried to withdraw some funds - got a message saying my card cannot be processed - thought the bank machine was down and went to another - got the same message - this was on a Friday night. Went home and checked my account - money in there - checked my epassporte email and found that iI had the same email as described above - the exact same word for word. I called them. The first person I talked to in customer service told me that the card was put on hold at the request of the issuing bank, I asked why and he told me that the reason was "private and confidential". After wasting about 10 minutes with this guy I asked to speak to his supervisor - he tried to help but after 30 minutes told me that he had no idea why my account was under suspension. 3 days later I received an email saying that my card was reported as lost and another one was being shipped to me - needless to say I did not report my card lost.

I have since received my card.

I log into my account - it now shows I have a balance of -179 dollars and some change - again I email them and they say they have some technical problems - after 2 days I get my balance up to -72 and change. Still incorrect. I dont have much in the account - should be about 80 or 90 bucks - since I got my sponsors to send checks instead of depositing into epassporte.

In conclusion it has been 3 weeks and my account is still screwed up, the worst part being that absolutely no-one can give me any reason as to why this is happening.

Capt Canada, you've got mail.

So does someone else that sent me a question.

If you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask me ok? I'm here to help you guys if things go awry. I don't do the tech or the csr stuff but I do know who to call upon for issues

You probably would have spelled "her" correctly, lol!

Complaining right under the email address of someone offering to help was just too bizarre for me not to comment.

Anytime guys, let's hope we can get it all cleared up as quickly as possible to everyone's satisfaction. If you haven't gotten resolution in the times I mention in the emails, let me know please. If I'm going to be involved, I want to make sure there's follow thru.
