Busted version.exe in win 2K

I have a busted version.exe on my windows 2000 pro machine.
This generates an error on load, but I cant find it anywhere on the net or on cd. I believe it's busted because I have an adware installed I cant get rid of. Even with the best new updated tools like spybot, adaware yadayadayada.... It simply opens 100's of explorer windows when I leave my machine.

WHERE CAN I GET A NEW VERSION.EXE FILE???

Microsux sure cant help me, I tried searching for it with ZERO success. Several times.

Help me before I loose it...

Ho ho... That was a good idea... I'll try to delete it... See what happens! LAST step before reinstalling the whole load.
The name "version.exe" in the system folder made me blind.. So common name.. Noone said to me it was a win file.. Perhaps thats why I couldnt find it on ms. Thx!
I'll reply with the result!

Oh well... I've deleted the version.exe file. ALSO in the system registry. Now no error on reload any more.

BUT.. I still have the svchost.exe on disk and IN the taskbar... I should remove this too I figure...

Thanks!
