WTF!!!

Okay today just ended on a bad note!!!

Anyone know of a good get back!

My neighbors cat comes into our backyard and proceeds to hangout well our dog proceeds to chase and attack it eventaully the cat retreats back over the fence to its own yard however our dog jumps and clears the 6 foot fence and come to find out when our dog comes back it has some 7 pellet gun wounds to it sides and so on and I am fucking pissed!

The city wont come out becuase there no proof, when we approached the owner he was like we didnt shoot it....

So I have no legal recourse except to bust out my arsonal of paintball and or pellet guns or maybe a eletctric razor to the cat!

Anyone else have a good one being the live behind us!!

Keev

hey man...leave the animals out of it. they are only doing what nature and their owners taught them to do.

direct your complaint to the local aspca. the man should not have shot at your dog. of course, you should also have trained your dog not to be such a reactionary mutt.

you are both equally responsible for the actions of your animals. you trained your dog to chase cats and you are now seeing the results. the neighbor had no right to shoot your dog. but if you think a cat is not gonna climb over a fence, then you are a fool.

Hmmm the cat owner had every legal right to defend the cat if they saw the dog attacking it under most areas laws. eSPECIALLY given the 6 foot fence and it jumping it. Call the dog catcher to see if its legal for cats to run loose. If not report the cat and let then pick it up when you see it loose.

Comparing a cat and a dog is apples to oranges and cats have a roaming nature that is permitted in lots of locales. Where dogs are NOT allowed. You could have run the cat off yourself instead of allowing the dog to do it. Where we live... YOU would be in jail for the dog attacking the cat, you would have the h*ll fined out of you and ordered to have a huge increase in your home owners liability insurance for possessing a menacing dog.

If cats attacked dogs then you might be in the right to shoot it... but thats not the way it works. Sprinkle some realemon juice around where you see the cat hanging out and it will stay away. And no, I do NOT agree on the shooting the dog either, UNLESS it was seen attacking the cat. The dog only has defense rights on your property, if it leaves that in pursuit it is now the attacker-invader and you can be criminally responsible.

Ever try talking to these people about a mutual problem you seem to have or do you just pick back and forth?

Oh c'mon Tit, ya don't have to train a dog to chase cats, it's in their nature to chase anything that will run from them.

Tit's right though Keev, the cat ain't the bastard. Whenever anyone pisses me off I find that stealing from them makes me feel better. I have a whole collection of shit I stole outta spite.

(I know it sounds silly, but look at how many people destroy property for revenge. Why key a car when you can steal a stereo?)

well, tanker...catching the cat is a most humane and civilized way to go about it.

i would also, recommend lining the top of the fence with tin foil. cats hate tin-foil.

no, warphead, i think you are wrong. dogs and cats are innately territorial. either species innately defend their perimeter. i have had many dogs and cats that lived in my house. they got along and did not fight because they were not instructed to attack each other.

ask yourself: how many times have you said to your dog: "Get that cat"!?

I dont plan on hurting the cat what so ever, i was just venting some anger left in me! I am not one to hurt the animal but maybe shaving that cat would be kinda cool !

The owner denies he shot it, and thats whats pissing me off the most. i have had other dogs stray in our back yard and start shit with our dog but i didnt bust out no dam gun i just broke it up and sent it on its way!!

I think i am going to have to hook up a "cam and tape this guy shooting the gun in the backyard for proof" if another incident happens!

Poison their cat.

Then post their home phone number on a homosexual phone sex board. Usually good for 100+ phone calls a day.

1. Start breeding pit bulls, about twenty of them staked out in the back yard... should leave absolutely no trace that their cat made it over your fence.

2. Make a surgical tubing sling shot and fire the steaming cat shit back at their house.

3. Electrify your fence and plant claymores rigged to an infrared intrusion detector.

4. Feed the cat some Ex Lax laced salmon and chase it back home.

5. Get your self about 10 of those old "Scorpion in Acrylic" paperweight kits and a five gallon bucket. Pose the cat artfully and send the preserved beast via ups back to them.

I'm way to bleary eyed to come up with more.

Where I used to live the sheriff would shoot your dog if it was in his yard.

have you ever considered that you raised your dog the WRONG FUCKING WAY?

If you have a dog that jumps a neighbor's fence in pursuit of a freekin cat...then who is to say you do not have a dog that may jump the fence in pursuit of a CHILD?

You have OBVIOUSLY trained your dog to do much more than defend your property. You have apparently, raised an agressive attack animal. I feel no sympathy for you.

Try loading one of those soaker water guns with watered down real lemon and spray your fencing down. It worked well on our wood fence. We have tons of loose cats and very few come in to the yard now. (1 an evening when one of us are out there opposed to 20+) before the spraying.

Costs to redo but they seem to really hate that stuff. Nail that cat in the face with it and it will NEVER come back! But it doesn't hurt them

Mills Lane just did a case on this. A guy was sueing the shooter of his dogs for the costs etc. Mills said most areas allow this and he'd do it himself if he caught an animal on his property attacking his animal. Seems cruel but what if it were your kid? Needless to say the guy lost his case.

go with the supersoaker - but shoot the cat with the lemon juice - not the fence - cats are damn smart and it'll learn damn quick not to come back.
Oh, and I have a cat and it wouldn't piss me off if someone soaked the stupid fuckin thing

I'd just start throwing my dogs steamy turds over the fence to his side....then maybe he'd think the cats got some type of intestinal problem and watch it more often....

Oh...did I say to aim for the open windows too? :-)

I like cats too....don't prefer dogs...so big dog turds on my lawn really steam me up!......have fun!

Some observations:

1) Everyone says their dog is harmless. Pets are like children: they can do no wrong in our eyes.

2) Don't start a vendetta. No telling where it will lead. And especially, don't start a vendetta with someone who probably has already shot your dog.

3) Too bad you don't live in Oregon. Cruelty to animals is a FELONY here and can result in prison time.

Best way to deter any animal from your home...

Put a spaded(ornutered) female feline in your home... they get very gawd damn protective and wont let anyone in.

My old cat would see car pulling into our drive, she would then preceed to climb a tree nearest to the walk way. Then pounce on the unknowing guest..

it was so funny! She would put out her claws but scared the shit out of everyone.

Never. I have a cat and a dog that both live indoors. And I never take my dog out without a leash - BUT - when my cat runs, the dog chases it. Just like he'd chase a car or an elephant... he wants to chase anything that will run from him.

Better recheck those laws Unseen.. Its a felony here as well UNLESS you see the animal attacking someone or another animal, then its war and legal. That was brought up in that TV court case and it seems to be about the same all over. Our dawg just looks at the trespassing cats as long as we keep him fed.

I have both but prefer a dog. Cats shit and puke where they please and usually have an attitude. My dog shits outside like animals are suppose to. She would shit in neighbors yard if I let her. But I dont. Next time the cat shits in your yard go to the neighbor and make em come clean it up!!
