After I read the threat about Falwell I mentioned it to my husband (a journalist) and he said 'oh boy you haven't seen this other story have you?

That's what ignorant people do. They know that they can't win their argument under normal circumstances, so the use opportunities like this to further their causes for them. Makes them look good to some, but it shows them for what they are to many others.

There will always be a few like him. I could say something similar to that end, oh, like : "I blame our high unreasonable property taxes for this attack! If we had lowered them instead of raised them, then the terrorists would have been more likely to be able to afford to move here and live happy and free as we do. BAD BAD property taxes!!!"

Indeed! This could probably be attributed to the fact that Islam is supposed to be a continuation of Christianity, which is supposed to be a continuation of Judaism.

The only religions that seem to be non violent are Hinduism and Buddism. Well, then again, hinduism could be a bit iffy...

Well, an interesting parallel can be made from this situation -- Falwell and Robertson no more represent the entire US point of view than the Taliban represents the entire Afghan point of view.

But how many people in other countries see these speeches or quotes from them and get the idea that all Americans are the same way?

One more point that I'd like to make is that people blame their problems on EVERYTHING ELSE.

If there's a problem, it must be either caused by porn, video games, tv, or music. They never look at the people that are doing the things. Hell, I've been into all 4 of those categories since I was a young one and hell, I haven't raped, molested, hurt, or killed anyone yet. If someone does something fucked up, it's only the fault of the person.

We all make adult websites, BUT do we force people to come to our pages ??? FUCK NO ! If someone's on our pages, it's 99.9% likely that they wanna be there.
