What codecs do you use for your content?
Hi guys,
We are working on some paysites and for the past years we've only used hosted feeds (Holio, AEBN, etc etc), but now we are finally launching 5 sites where we will have content hosted on our own servers, and downloadable for the members. So considering that, we are wondering what codecs you use on your content? We can really save a lot of bandwidth (of course) by using codecs, but is it too much to ask of the member? In worst case - to download and install a codec - before he/she can view our content. What's the standard here? The content we have is currently in regular MPEG format, and a 25 min long scene takes approx 250 MB.

I encode our mpegs to sell to people at 1500 but they can then encode them lower.
