I realize a domain is only as good as you make it, in most cases.

But i'm wondering if the .biz extension is useless? I mean what if i had pineapple.biz? would that be viewed as a $50/domain?

It really depends on how you use them. And I am willing to bet, that Dole would buy the pineapple .biz name from you.

It all depends on the domain, for example, I would think porn.biz would sell for a nice chunk of change...

.biz has never hit. it got abused by scammers who use them for cheap reg's for throwaway domains
