I do it so that I can have my messangers on one screen and whatever I am working on on the other. Also comes in handy to work on one and play poker on the other.

Its a great way to make changes to a site on one side, and see them reflected live on the other, great for multitasking.

I can't live without my dual montitors. Once you do it, you will never be able to feel comfortable again going back to one.

I do a ton of photoshop, so it is nice to use the left for my actual workspace, and have all of my tools on my right monitor. Also nice to place other programs there in the background so you can multitask and drag and drop with no problems.

Hey....I use to use it for winning ebay auctions too...got my left one with my high bid ready to be confirmed and the other one that I keep refreshing to watch the clock run down to the last few seconds. ;)

One of my monitors died about a month ago, and for a few days I was a lost pup trying to figure out how the hell I ever worked off of one monitor, ever. lol.

Gotta go with the dual...it will change your entire experience.

I don't mind surfing and stuff with one monitor, but when I really need to do some work, 2 monitors is the way to get stuff done.

In my office, I have 4 monitors (2 and 2) as well as a KVM switch. Sure makes multi-tasking easy.

How are you going to pull off running 3 monitors on one CPU?

I have two right now... and I couldn't imagine life without the setup.

But 3???????????????????????????

That'd be incredible....

Could you point me to a graphics card that would allow for 3 monitors?

You haven't seen anything...

Mike69 has 4 huge flat screens, people freak when they see it!
plus, 1 laptop and then I have my computer, he is a programmer.

He uses every screen! I could play some many poker sites at once, LOL!

Right now I have a higher-end GForce card and bought a DVI->VGA convertor, so I have two vga's basically, to add a 3rd, I will just add a nicer PCI card, as I don't want to spend $600+ on another video card (PCI Express w/ SLI). I don't need a highend for the 3rd monitor, will probably be running unix on it anyway, i'm tired of this XP bullshit
