what rules content or pay site design
I think that content rules. In the end it all come down on the content you serve your member. I have seen quite some shitty tours with awsome content and they sell big time.
Am i right? or do you think it is the design or another thing. |

it's a mix. we've sites with 5 bucks sets doing great, and also exclusive content sites doing not so great. The way you present a niche makes wonders too. Take a look at ARS sites, they have 300 or 400 or whatever tours in 20-25 niches, all of them sharing the content, which is overused to say the least. They're making a few millions off that crappy content. and there are programs uncapable to make zilch with the same content, so yes, good content is great, but if you do't have it, you better get a designer/marketer who knows the biz. There are great designers. There are great marketing minds. and I can count with one hand's fingers the amount of designers with a knowledge of marketing and sales. And I lost 3 fingers in an accident (not really, just making a point

It's a mixture. You need good of both today. Not only to attract the surfers but also to attract the affiliates.
Don't try to copy ARS, they are going to have to change as the market moves forward. What worked yesterday will not always work tomorrow. Think of this as a highly competetive business. |
