all of us that work for ourselves learned some things the hard way, one of those unfortunately is that you NEED insurance. I learned it after a hospital visit last year that cost me over $5k

we all do stupid shit, and forget to do important things in our life that we know SHOULD have been done.....but that is ALL beside the point now for Nichole

Why donate money to someone who is already covered ? ( if she is )

Why didnt whoever she was shooting for have insurance ? Are they giving every penny they have ? They should have been responsible for the insurance, so before i give any money i would like to make sure the person who is "supposed" to have insured her , has given ever cent he can. Otherwise , why bother with medical insurance, just use gfy donations, it would save money on shoots.

I feel awful what happened to that poor girl but on the other hand this is a girl who makes alot of money not some poor webmodel who makes thousand dollars a month. If Im giving money I would rather help those less fortunate not those who probably make twice to three times what I make and are exactly not a fixture on this board has she ever been on it. I would be the first something happened to peaches or tassy or jace. Whether they made more or less then me it wouldnt matter because they are part of our community here.

however, should nikki or adam need support or help trying to raise money if that is in fact the case when it all plays out, i will do as much as i can to make sure they get support here or anywhere else that they may intend to solicit donations. nikki is a huge model in this business, i can assure you, if it came to it, gfy is not going to be where all the money comes from. thinking that is just ignorant. if the industry needs to step up and collect donations for nikki i think you'll see it in alot more places than just here. adam posted because he is "in the moment" and the acted acted as expected. this is gfy after all.

i woulda waited, but he didn't. so what. bottom line is at this point, let everything calm down and find out the facts and then lend support.

nikki and adam are in my thoughts. it is definitely going to affect my day thinking about it.

It's ok man. You SHOULD be emotional, especially since she is a close friend of yours, it's okay for people to react that when they are trying to protect people they know. We all understand, but don't judge us for not knowing the same people you know. So, don't be sorry and don't avoid this thread... think about something you can offer up to help Nikki. Maybe DJ a party thrown in her honor to raise funds for her... or do a webcast/podcast for her members as a benefit with a 1 time cover charge for downloading to help raise more funds... since there's a big webmaster event coming up, maybe have a side-event in her honor... I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas... so no one shoot me. You guys can shoot down my ideas, but don't shoot me.

Since some of you know her personally, bond together to find some way to benefit her financially and then some of us will rally around you. Talk to all the large companies she's worked for, other models she's worked with... and ask them for support and promise them that when she gets better she'll return their help by shooting for them or something, I don't know... I'm sure that she's the kind of person that will remember those who helped her in her time of need and return the favor tenfold.

Maybe set up a site for people to offer their words of encouragement, friendship etc... kind of like a digital greeting card, that you can show her as soon she's better. Sometimes people that have been through that kind of trauma need to no that their are others out there that care for them and pray for them.

This isn't how it used to be in this biz. I remember when one of our own would be in trouble - shit we were all out there with a auction, and in 1 night raise over 100-250k.

I will never strike a person down or talk shit about them when they are down / hurt, etc. Especially not someone who works in our industry... So she might not have insurance, who the fuck cares right at this moment......

My thoughts exactly. Hell, if any lawyers are reading GFY then they are salivating while reading this post. King Adam and his company are going to be paying out the ass for this for years to come unless she signed some sort of personal injury waiver, which I highly doubt she did.

Asking for donations from GFY is probably not a good idea until everything gets resolved (Insurance-wise and liability-wise).

I learned it after a hospital visit last year that cost me over $5k we all do stupid shit, and forget to do important things in our life that we know SHOULD have been done.....but that is ALL beside the point now for Nichole the most we can do is help her and keep her in our thoughts....so, please stop with the shit in this thread and let's help her in any way we can right now if it was one of your close friends in that hospital bed, how would you be reacting....would you be running in screaming at her that she should have had insurance, or would you be by her side HOPING that she pulls through?
