Hell my girlfriend was in the hopsital a year ago and she owes 10 grand, and even today there just saying whenever you can make payments make payments, sounds to me like your full of shit

Agreed ... right now I just want to get to the hospital. I will have a page setup this weekend and of course a mailer will go out to her members.

All I can say is if you don't believe than don't send.

I will consult with her mother about getting some sort of proof for the non-believers.

i must quickly say here, ALL people need health insurance, and many young people think they are immune.

i see lots of threads here about kids leading the party lifestyle, fancy cars, toys, etc.

and then i see threads like this---people asking others for a handout due to some emergency.

rather than fly to cancun for a party, or snort your paycheck, why not go online and get some fucking health coverage---it is not that expensive for young healthy people.

and i know that i will be flamed as a heartless bastard for even suggesting that people take personal responsibility for their lives---but if even ONE person understands the importance of this, and does something about it, i will have done my good deed for the day.

Adam is D$ and KB's cousin. I've known Adam since 99 when I first came in this business. He wouldn't make something like this up. Although, I cannot prove something happened, I wouldn't think it in his blood to make something like this up. I will do what I can to help. Adam is also Nikki's webmaster for her site, former boyfriend, and still very close with her. Adam, go to the hospital, when things settle down, come back and see where everything here is. Nikki needs you to be with her now, not here arguing with people who haven't even met you or been in the business for a year. Nikki probably should have insurance, she does well in the biz, but if not then she doesn;t. Have Darren and KB maybe mention something here to help you on this too so the skeptics can stop. Once you get through the initial shock of whats happened GFY will still be here as will the industry, and I am sure that those who know and support her will be there to help when its time to pay the bills.

It's best to provide it cause the masses require it. I already Paypal'd you instead of epass so pull it out of PP soon thru debit or whatever. It's not much, but don't leave any money sitting in PP, it took me weeks to get my $5K out and they had ZERO justification to hold it... they probably just wanted to make $ on the float.

You must try to relax. I know it's a trying time for you right now, but you have to keep your cool. You have to understand that nobody is attacking you personally. There are people that do come on here (believe it or not) and ask for money with BS stories. Not everyone knows who you are, not everyone knows who Nikki is. You must understand that when people ask for money, you are going to have people questioning motives regardless if there are any. It's human nature. Some of us do not have time to research who you are, you are the one asking for the money henceforth should answer the questions to the best of your ability without name calling etc. Like I said, I can understand that you are upset, but don't blame the people that are questioning it, or commenting on her financial situation or whether or not the person/s shooting the content are liable. I am sure that you will find the people around here pretty generous, but rather than get upset with some of the questions ignore them and move on. You will fair much better that way. Good luck to Nikki - My well wishes are withl her and thank you for setting up ePass, I would much rather use that and I'm sure you will get more webmasters using it as well. I thought they had to stabilize you no matter what. In fact I have to ask my Dad now to find out, he works in insurance deals with Docs and Hospitals. If she fell during a shot the company that hired her is liable thats why its important to have insurance if you shoot especially location shit. I assume it was a big company so they must have it. At her level I doubt she works for small time operators.

I've personally let a lot of things go in my life (such as insurance) and I always ended up paying the big price for it most of the time ... so right now, I got all my shit straight ...

She could certainly afford medical insurance. I'm not the one that have to pay for her problems...

If somebody works hard and have badluck, I can understand that... but in this event, that's her fault and nobody elses...

I wish her the best luck to go through this ... and i hope her face isn't fucked up too much (so she'll be able to work and pay her bills) ;)

This is yet ANOTHER example of why people should have at the very least a catastrophic health insurance plan even if it has a high deductible. $100 or so a month could have kept her from needing donations or losing whatever she's worked for if she doesn't get enough to pay the bills.

As others have pointed out, this would also be under a workman's comp coverage. Let's hope whomever she was working for carries that and/or has the money to cover her bills.

I really hope things go well with her!

It is an awful situation, that could've been avoided, considering insurance is affordable, but we need to look beyond that and pray for her speedy recovery.

Plus, have you emailed all her members/webmasters. A page on your site like this would greatly help us keep tabs on her: "NikkiNova.com/emergency" or something like that. latinasojourn Confirmed User Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 3,191	yes horses can be dangerous. we own one. i must quickly say here, ALL people need health insurance, and many young people think they are immune. i see lots of threads here about kids leading the party lifestyle, fancy cars, toys, etc. and then i see threads like this---people asking others for a handout due to some emergency. rather than fly to cancun for a party, or snort your paycheck, why not go online and get some fucking health coverage---it is not that expensive for young healthy people. and i know that i will be flamed as a heartless bastard for even suggesting that people take personal responsibility for their lives---but if even ONE person understands the importance of this, and does something about it, i will have done my good deed for the day.

He wouldn't make something like this up. Although, I cannot prove something happened, I wouldn't think it in his blood to make something like this up. I will do what I can to help. Adam is also Nikki's webmaster for her site, former boyfriend, and still very close with her. Adam, go to the hospital, when things settle down, come back and see where everything here is. Nikki needs you to be with her now, not here arguing with people who haven't even met you or been in the business for a year. Nikki probably should have insurance, she does well in the biz, but if not then she doesn;t. Have Darren and KB maybe mention something here to help you on this too so the skeptics can stop. Once you get through the initial shock of whats happened GFY will still be here as will the industry, and I am sure that those who know and support her will be there to help when its time to pay the bills. dj airek

This is yet ANOTHER example of why people should have at the very least a catastrophic health insurance plan even if it has a high deductible. $100 or so a month could have kept her from needing donations or losing whatever she's worked for if she doesn't get enough to pay the bills. As others have pointed out, this would also be under a workman's comp coverage. Let's hope whomever she was working for carries that and/or has the money to cover her bills. I really hope things go well with her!

It is an awful situation, that could've been avoided, considering insurance is affordable, but we need to look beyond that and pray for her speedy recovery.
