As far as $ goes I don't care. I need something to cover large areas. With almost 0 wireless drops

I bought the Netgear WGR614, 54mbps wireless router a week ago. I put in the CD, plugged in all the cables and off it went. I didn't have to touch anything in the config, until I turned on MAC address filtering to keep out wireless clients I don't know. I love it. It's fast and secure. And I haven't had any problems with torrents or p2p clients or anything else. UPNP works great, port triggering works great, no need for port forwarding.

Be warned that in a lot of areas wireless is nearly impossible to maintain w/o it dropping constantly. I live in an area that is very close to a radio station/tower and for about four hours in the morning it will completely disrupt my wireless connection and screw up my cordless phones. If you want convenience, you could go with a wired+wireless combo router just in case you have problems with wireless in your area at certain times during the day.
At work we needed a small setup for wireless, we went with Buffalo's WHR-HP-G54 Turbo G unit. It was fairly cheap, cost us around $70.00 and hasn't lost sync yet. At my home though almost all pure wireless systems will fail ![]()

Yeah, I am a network guru.. Net+ CCNA well maybe not guru but I know my way around.
I was looking for something I could setup doctors offices and Larger SQ area homes. For a side business. I always do Wired Equalivent (wep) and Mac Filters (I also change the SSID) and set the MTU for 1500 and if I am setting up a network that everyone uses G I only use G..Because then I know other people cant connect or attempt unless they have 802.11g I am looking for a business setup |

Get some access points to mount around your house.

I used this one at a friends house. Mounted it on the ceiling, ran the cabling though the attic and down to the router in his office. He had a wireless router but it didn't work once he stepped outside. Mounted it in a hallway and it works about a block away from his house.
