To North Americans about President Bush

I have no idea really about american politics, but was wondering today in the shower what the views on him are like. As I have been in recent years been hearing loads of shit about him, yet he got through another election.

All I hear is my friends going on about how shit he is and all i read in the newspapers is about how he cant read and makes mistakes while giving speeches

So whats the general consensus like? 40% like him? less? Surely it must be a tonne down since last election

I get the feeling this board is anti bush as I have read many of your comments. and I am yet to find an american board which loves President Bush. But most of all tell me what the majority of USa think of him

What about those die hard american families that super love america are they still with him? Infact what domestic group or state still go with him?

In england Blair still has support and people still think hes good, at a rough guess id say he has 40% of the country backing him. thats only because the competition is so poor.

last time i heard his approval rating was 27%. he's chasin Truman for lowest approval rating leaving office.

basically the guy is a fucking monkey. he can barely speak. he is even losing most support of his party.

i can only hope that people will wake up and start paying attention to who they vote for.

Agree... is there still the possibility Blair may resign before his term is finished?

He was indicating this earlier - mainly because he did not have support of other cabinet ministers and they were dictating to him "how it will be".

Good question,

Many people are too lazy to vote or too intimidated by their bosses to try to get out of work on election day (I've spoken with a number of people who didn't vote because, "I forgot to give notice for the time off" or when I was in college during the 2000 election, "I forgot to get registered to vote in time"). Republicans tend to be either moderately wealthy or extremely religious. So if it's not the tax cuts for the top 1% that 20% seem to belive they are a part of, it's keeping the influence of the queers and the minorities away from their virgin heterosexual aryan offspring. And Bush does a pretty good job of this, he kept one homosexual, Jeff Gannon, away from his supporters' children by having him over to the White House over 250 times in a 2 year period. One can only guess what fun they might have had together. At any rate, conservatives get pretty fired up about the issues, more so than liberals, and are therefore more likely to vote. This is probably due to the exceedingly conservative media. Especially talk radio... Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Drudge... you name it, any city, anytime you will find at least one of them on the radio. But to be fair, there are quite a few liberal talk radio shows, you can listen to them on AM in New York, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, and a few other large cities, or on the internet and satellite radio. And to top it all off, the company that manufactured the voting macines used in a number of states had previously done business with more than one member of the current administration.

But if I were you, I wouldn't take my analysis so seriously. I'm a naive Reagan-Baby raised on MTV, and socialized by the commie public school system where they fire teachers for being heterosexual.

hahahaha. boss's actully have power like that? shheeeesh.
yeh i see what they are doing just filling up with useless rubbish such as gay marriage issues, to keep the real fire power on the real issues. I suppose this gains him alot of support from the like minded mtv groups such as yourself.

as far as blair goes, 99% chance of leaving before election, however yesterday he strongly suggested at least another year - which did not go down well with rivals and his party i think.

Hey, what's with the North American thing? That's like saying "To Europe about Hitler"...

And no I'm not comparing Bush to Hitler, I'm referencing one nations leader to a continent rather than a country comparison.

Dropping a turd and reading the paper thinking about Bush and politics is a bit different than standing in the shower giving your nads a scrub thinking about Bush and politics.

I disagree. Both are fucking useless wastes of time (taking a shit and shower) but we have to do it, so might as well think about something as equally as fucking useless. Now if he was thinking about Bush giving him a blowjob, or thinking of ramming his cock up Bush?s ass? then we may have a problem. A sexy problem? *moans*

the only people in the States that like Bush are the backward country folks with 3 teeth and 9 DUIs. The rest of the people hate his guts, and I would say about 70 to 80% of the population are aware that he rigged the elections, but what can they do?
Yes, I know, they can throw themselves on the streets and raly, but trust me, with the new homeland security laws, if you get together to organize a protest against the government, they will put you in jail, since you are considered to be conspiring against it.

Bush is a piece of shit and for all of those who were making him out to be the greatest around election time. Right about now I bet their still real proud of the decision they made by putting him in office again.

This board is against Bush because of the number of liberals around. With this industry, it is expected.

While I personally dont back Bush 100%, I think his success/failure will show up in 5-10 years so I reserve judgement against him now.

As a leader/manager type I understand he has to make decisions that are not popular and I also understand he has people around him that have decisions delegated to them.

I think that it's safe to say that *most* americans do not approve of him on *most* topics in POLLS.

What that really means? No idea. He's here, he's queer, get used to it, lol

My point is that this decreases the voting rate, I'm not defending people for coming up with an excuse not to vote. It's bullshit, but many employers do discourage participation in democracy.

If you don't care enough, or feel as though your vote won't count, are you really going to go out of your way to vote... get up early and go to the polls, wait in line for an hour and be late to work. Or, after working 8 hours, do you want to go though that, or do you just want to go home? If you make your living by collecting interest on your trust fund, however, I'm sure its a bit easier on you to take a break from you busy day snorting coke by the pool to go and vote.

I understand how important it is to vote, but apparently most people don't. Approximately 10-20% of the US population votes consistently. This is a huge problem, not for republicans who would much prefer that all the lazy poor people didn't vote. That way they won't vote for people who will give them free money. Money that could have been used to kill brown people in exotic places around the world like Iraq, Iran, or Los Angeles.

People do tend to put their leaders onto pedestals just because they were their leader... regardless of their successes/failures.

People in this country just do whatever TV tells them to do. TV told us to vote for Bush, so we did. It's really not any more complicated than that.

In America it seems that Dubya supporters are either smart enough to be making money on investments so they like the tax cuts or don't bother researching anything. The ones that don't do their own research tend to repeat catch phrases given to them by Bill Oreilly, Tucker Carlson or Anne Coulter and have no idea what the phrases really mean. What you ask them to explain they generally get angry and defensive.

Right now Dubya is in a tough spot so it's going to be interesting. I've never liked the idea of a Washington insider as President and Dubya's daddy was deep inside.

George W Bush has a reputation among those that know him personally as being very smart and shrewd... the problem is that once he is convinced he is right there is no changing his mind and no discussion about it after that... remember... he's "The Decider!"

He never admits mistakes and values some sort of twisted loyalty way above accountability...

I agree with a previous posted that believes history will judge him as one of our worst presidents ever.

lame ass stories don't pass for fact around here.
Well I'm glad you feel that way. At least you don't take anecdotal evidence as fact. Of course, you cannot make a general statement about all employers, which is why I did not say "all". Perhaps it was an overstatement to say "most". But you have taken to question a small part of my original post. We can argue over the details all you want, but the fact remains that most people who can vote do not. There are a ton of reasons why, many illogical excuses. Whatever they are is irrelevant. Why is it that when I lowered my skim, the prod on my site increased? Who the fuck knows, completely counterintuitive. We're discussing social issues with infinately many variables. I try to make the point that Bush won because most common people don't vote. I list a few speculations/possible explainations as to why this is, and you argue with those. It is as if you don't want to find the truth, you would much rather have people think you are right with no regard for whether or not you actually are.

Bush is a man of very limited intelligence who has troble putting a sentence together. As such, a great number of Americans can relate to him. There are a few hundred people who really run the country and they selected him because he was the perfect puppet for them. Bush gives them a huge tax break and they "kick back" a portion of it to his party, who hires the smartest marketers in the country to convince people that they will all die if the Democrats are elected.

He is also a religious fanatic who takes the bible literally and hears voices from God. But Americans are finally getting wise to him. Two thirds of the county - and 95% of the rest of the world now realize that he is a disaster. Americans hate to admit they are wrong but Bush's approval rating went down from 90% to 30%. A lot of people could see through him from day 1 but it took a long time for the rest of the country to wake up.
Right now, Iraq is in chaos. The Israelis are fighting the Arabs. Iran is developing nukes and North Korea is shooting off missiles. The world in unraveling in front of him.

At home, gas and medical prices are totally out of control. The deficit is the biggest in history and the stock market is up less than 200 hundred points since Bush took office 5 1/2 tears ago. When Clinton was in office, the stock market went up over 6000 points in his first 5 1/2 years. He aslo left office with a surplus. So you can see that Bush's domestic policy have been as bad as his foreign policy.

His supporters know they can't point to anything good, so they say things like "Don't believe your lying eyes - wait for 5-10 years and perhaps history will vindicate him". But at the rate we are going, it is far from a given that we will survive for that long. Bush has been a disaster and anyone who won't admit it is just a fool.

I think the only reason he has trouble putting a sentence together is because he has to listen to each one in that earpiece, and then reiterate it into the microphone.

Didnt he say that his gun-ho attitude after 9/11 was a mistake?

But yeh in 5-10 years time after all shit has blown over i can see him being respected. It happens the other way round. Stalin was loved by millions even though they were living through utter shit. then people saw the true extent of what he did and hated him after all the news came to light.

Everyone here, save the religious nuts and a few loyal and very stupid Republicans, hate him, wish he was dead and would probably willing to make him get dead if there was no penalty for doing so.
