any answers on this from UK people?

My main use would be depositing checks and i would require a business card to use for online transactions. Large amounts would be kept in the account 50k plus.

anyone know of a resource which discuss this as well as personal experiences.

i also require that the bank can set me up a $$ account as well and i can control it all online.

are you in the UK? Natwest has always been pretty good for small business people I know.

just go into a local natwest.. and get yourself a meeting sorted. either that or the royal bank of scotland.

just dont choose halifax....

I heard www.HSBC.com should be good.
If you are looking for offshore banking also take a look at http://www.citibank.com.hk/ (not in UK though)

It can sometimes be a pain in the ass to get a dollar account through a UK bank although I know some do it. You have a point with the offshore thing, at least it's usually a dollar account that you're given.
