I fucking hate Citibank more than anything else in the world

I just found out my car loan through Bank of America was sold to Citibank. I already have a personal checking account and online banking account with them and I am not happy with it but upon finding out I thouht it maybe it would be easy to pay my loan online. Turns out they want a $14.95 fee to do this!! Even though I have online banking/bill pay with them. They are crooks and love to screw over their account holders.

Banks all suck. But Bank of America, Wells Fargo and National City are the worst banks in the history of banks. Wells Fargo tries to charge non-account holders $5 for honoring their own checks (this has been the cause of more than one tirade thrown by yours truly in the lobby, as I refuse to pay a bank any fee at all to honor a debt they have to me, if anyone is going to pay a fee they can charge THEIR customer) and Bank of America is fraudulently named, every state I have ever needed them in (IN and MI) they don't have a single location. Its not a national bank. National City is just run by assholes, they have fees upon fees.

Fifth Third charges $8 to cash a check drawn on them if you are not an account holder, which is fucking ridiculous if you have a Fifth Third check and are nowhere near your local bank. I use a local credit union which has incredible service and loan rates, but they only have 2 locations so you can forget about finding an ATM out of town. My Citibank cards charge me $14.95 I believe if I want to make a payment by phone but they are free online.

a $14.95 fee to account holders for an automated service is unreal, im just going to send it checks for various amounts each month and make them do more work.

Many, but not all, Credit Unions are part of the CU Service Center network. Basically, they have service centers and you can do your stuff at other credit unions just like (well, very much like) you were at your home credit union. I use CUs too, they are quite a bit like banks and still hit you with plenty of fees, but at least your savings earns more than 0.000000017% a year and they usually have fewer bullshit "account maintenance fees".

They FINALLY got online payment recently for my car loan. Can't switch banks for a car loan, at least not easily. I can't believe they're charging $14.95 for it. Greedy mofos.

BoA has that same $5 charge for cashing a BoA check if you dont have an account.

She told me if I open a free account then the charge would be waived.

I thought about opening the account. Cashing the check then closing the account. But not sure if they would go for that very well.

I like wamu myself.
