It's cack, forget about it.

The best one out there is rss2blog. Uses a ton of different templates, blogs and pings, uses either rss feeds, text blocks, Serps listings, anything you damn well want to make your pages unique.

The key in all this mass blogging lark is keeping the blog fresh with unique / semi-unique pages.

Good luck

I'm not sure where you're getting that information. A license of Autoblogger Pro Stand Alone is not limited by domain -- it's unlimited.

What's your Autoblogger Pro user name? What version did you use?

I try to stay out of threads like this, unless it's to correct misinformation. You may have seen the thread recently where someone was selling the ABP domain doing nice traffic and a few sales per day. You may have also seen the thread where an ABP user was ranked #1 for "ps3 preorder" in Google. Or you may have seen Chio's threads with his rapidly rising stats.

We don't consider rss2blog to really be a competitor, but you should certainly consider all of your options.

ICQ me if you'd like a demo of Autoblogger Pro Stand Alone from someone who has actually USED it and knows what they're talking about.

ABP is a god-send for those who know how to use it. Especially if you're managing multiple blogs or in some people's cases...hundreds and thousands.

I'm very happy with it. I was on the old one for a while and got pretty good with it. I'm just getting caught up on ABPSA.

I've got about 20 blogs right now. But as we speak, I'm building a network of nearly 200 and ABPSA is going to run every one of them.

Once it's licensed to a specific domain, of course it can't be transferred. That's a free copy, in essence. The Stand Alone version (incidentally, the only one we sell) can post out to UNLIMITED domains.

What is your Autoblogger Pro username? ICQ me if you have a specific issue and I'll look into it.

The standalone posts out to multiple blogs. This way you dont have to manually update 100 blogs every day. I have the old version, so I cant comment much on the SA version.

The whole idea is shit, it's used by assholes who would rather rip someone elses content and spam the site with adsense etc. It's a really shitty way of having a blog, making money off other peoples work. Let's face it, that is really what this is.

We discounted the software yesterday for the holidays. It's back to its normal price now.

Look for more "discount days" as we approach the end of the year.

LOL You obviously have never used Auto Blogger Pro and probably not even RSS2Blog but you do know how to post an affiliate link.

RSS2Blog was king of the auto posters in its day but that day has well passed. It has fallen way behind in the last year or so with its present feature set and shitty support.

Go with Auto Blogger Pro.

Thanks. A bunch of people have been saying that, and I want everyone to know: it means a lot to me. I'm sitting here, on my barely-limping-along old PC, because I just had a hard drive crash on my "main" box. I'm answering tickets, thinking about how I'd like to be doing anything BUT that -- namely, getting my PC fixed so I can work on ABP 1.21 and later versions.

To hear that makes it worth it, though .. so thanks!

OR... you can use your own feeds to post out to other sites so you can boost traffic throughout your own network.

Eh, YOU know this, *I* know this, just about everyone knows this, but HE isn't going to get it. He's stalked ABP posts before with this nonsense, I just tune him out. Amusingly, I hadn't even noticed his post until you quoted it.

Thanks for setting the record straight, though!

The method you described has proven VERY effective for boosting traffic. So effective that we're looking at ways to add an "internal" feed system to Autoblogger Pro Stand Alone, which will allow you to not only create and manage your own feeds (which the code is almost complete for), but also create your own content to be syndicated from WITHIN the system.

That`s what I was wondering.
The problem with all these autoblogger programs is that if you are taking RSS feeds off some other sites you are going to get penalized for duplicate content.

I don't want to be rude by continually posting the corrections to this, so I'll leave it up to the search function.

A lot of people make the mistake of thinking this, too. A number of people have made some nice posts to clear up some of the fear, uncertainty, and doubt.

But, in the end -- results speak for themselves, of course.

It'd be funny if it wasn't so damaging to what we're trying to accomplish.

I usually just point to the ABP sites that CLEARLY get SE traction while using feeds. Look at all the #1 rankings, traffic, etc .. it's hard to argue with.

But some people you'll just never convince. Really, it comes down to -- do you want to waste your time creating content that may devlier the same results as providing your users with a "roll up" site featuring the content of a VARIETY of sources? I mean, shit, I read my own ABP sites, because I think they're very informative, and I *like* the mix of content.

In ABPSA 1.20, we added an "alpha" version of the Markov engine, too, for people that are really paranoid about duplication. That covers both sides of the arguement. *dusts off hands*

EDGEPROD, how does this product compare to this "movable type"? I am new to the blog sphere, so I may be a little unknowledgable about it, but I definitely want to find out more. I have one guy on my staff that is an expert at this, I just want to see what else is out there and what ways I can maximize the investment period. I haven't released our blog yet, but I will be in the new year sometime, so I am using this time to get to know the basics of blogs...I particulary don't even consider blogs anything more then a fad, or trend, and I use the net daily in fact most of the hours in a day are spent on a computer and the net, and still I have never come acrossed paths where I got interested in blogs...weird...Anyhow if you can email me some info on your product that would be great, and point out how it's advantagous over movabletype for example because I hear about the later management tool more often. Thanks and my apologies to the thread starter if offended by my request....I suppose I should have started a seperate thread...Thanks again.

Yeah -- what Goo said -- the more info in here, the better.

I think MT is a fine product. It certainly serves its purpose as well as WordPress, and I feel the major "difference" is in how people prefer to interface with the products.

We chose to concentrate primarily on WordPress with Autoblogger, as it is what the majority of the people here (and just everywhere) seem to use. Now, it doesn't mean it's BETTER -- look at Mac OS versus Windows versus Linux, right? -- it just means that we cater to the largest market for our product.

Autoblogger Pro isn't a competitor to MT, as it doesn't include its OWN blogging system -- it posts OUT to blogging systems using established API's. I believe MT supports the same API's as WordPress, but I'd have to check.

The main benefit of Autoblogger Pro is the ability to organize your feeds, apply rewrites (change words or phrases), relinks (link to different things when it finds certain words or phrases), sourcelinks (give credit where it's due, in whatever format you'd like), regex (regular expressions, take out, add to, change basically any pattern you can define), headers and footers (even random ones! make random headers for each post), a markov engine (change words around, make your content fairly unique) .. and really, a ton more.

Basically, Autoblogger Pro puts your site on "autopilot" .. letting you update the site automatically (using cron and ABPSA) without having to make posts EVERY day. You can still add your OWN posts to the blogs, too, making them even better.

More info:

http://www.abpsa.com

Hope that answers some of the questions.

Mostly because people want to sound like they know what they're talking about. I don't want to offend anyone, but 99% of the people talking about it haven't even TRIED sites that fall into that category. They just want to sound smart, and in the meantime, they end up throwing mud on legitimate practices.

Ah well, can't win em all!

Glad to hear you're seeing success with it!

It does, hehe.

Click "Changelog" -- but yes, it needs a "current version" notice.

Complete hard drive failure yesterday. Looking at the Mac Pro machines, trying to decide how "loaded" I want one.

Ah well, can't win em all!
Yeah you are right, I have no idea what I am talking about...

I have ABP installed on a domain and have seen what it can do.

You have to sell a product so obviously you are gonna say what you need to.

The fact that you said duplicate content is a myth and doesnt exist shows how ignorant you really are.

From now on I will take everything you say with a grain of salt...
