This is GFY. Things aren't all nicey-nice over here. The next time you try to convince someone to buy your content, or sign up to be your affiliate, you're going to have at least 10 people linking back to this post where you called your own stuff boring and looking cloned. Consider what you say before you say it!
Another poster from another board who does not have a clue how we work the site.

Go back to the paysite and then come back, apolagise and tell us how much of the content is ours and how much is bought in, brokered or from which of the 5 shooters we have employed and the many locations?

Carrie I have lots of others peoples content on the site, but obviously you do not know that and just posted.

Maybe you're the one with a hole in her foot.

So the site does well and you are not telling lies on the affiliates page?

But that means, you were telling them on another board?

Which one is it and how soon after I caught your lies were my posts made invisible on the other board?

Yes I had one broken link out of 8. I was losing 12.5% of the business and still thought it was good.

No shit...Paul would NEVER come to GFY and say that his websites were converting great if they weren't. He would come here instead and say, "You know guys, my Petra site seems to be lagging a bit since I opened it last month. Especially in the CCBill sales. Do you guys think it's because of my shitty content on the tour or my bad grammer?"

Interestingly enough, Mark/his customer brings up a valuable point, and one all webmasters and program owners alike should give serious consideration to.

SO MANY companies leave too much money on the table, both throwing it away from themselves and from their webmaster affiliates by NOT making it top priority to take care of their customers once they've received the initial sale.

To break it down simply: all customer service is, or Should Be, are MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES not only to do right by the customer, but to keep them as a lifetime member of your site and program. And this includes cancelling the member, refunding them if it's called for, and not trying to work them for every penny before they leave...because even those customers who left for whatever reason will come back if you take care of them appropriately (i.e. promptly, professionally and kindly). Because ya know what, most of your online colleagues are not taking good care of them, and thus, the customer will return to you and your site because you did.

It always amazes me that this concept is so simple, yet so many seem to forget it or not care...or maybe they are just not smart enough to have the right support mentalities to truly capitalize on making more money with their support departments.

I've been an adult site webmaster and program owner for over 11 years now; and I attribute my online success and longevity primarily to taking superior care of my customers. IF you are a true entrepreneur, you will take this concept, incorporate it into your business model and pick up the money that is being left on the table.

</cs rant>

Jesus Christ, nobody here said that our buisness models were something the average person (ie. surfer) couldn't understand. They are saying that there is no way a surfer writes him an email wanting to talk shop about the business aspect of porn. I've been doing the paysite thing for seven years and i've received a few emails from people who want to talk shop but it's usually talking about girls that I have worked with or wanting to know what it's like to get my cock sucked by a different cutie every day. Surfers don't want to talk about sign up to rebill ratios. I've never written an email to the GM of any car dealership to share my thoughts about turnover and be-back ratios. And if you believe that this email was from a surfer you are a tool.

Paul had his daily spam all planned out but he took such an ass pounding with Thurday's debacle that he didn't dare write his 'insightfull' post as being his own words because he was afraid we would rip him apart. Instead he got the, what he thought was, briliant idea to post it as coming via email from a member. Just fess up Paul...you wrote that yourself. You know it, I know it and everyone else here (except for spazlabz) knows it.

So what do you think of his business analysis?

Do we spend too much getting new traffic than retaining what we have.

Do we really listen to what members want?

As an industry not individual companies.

I have told you, and all uk webmasters have told you - But you don't listen.
Keep trying to sell your over-saturated shit content - And keep asking the qustion and telling everybody the answer.

Original content sells and retains - Retaining a customer is far more profitable than seeking a new one --->

Thank you for the complimant of our content being sold so widely. Why do you think so many buy it so much?

I know better than anyone what kind oof content sells and retains. I have to otherwise our content would not be saturated in the biggest niche in porn.

Welcome to the show.

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...light=bleeding a thread from 2004

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...highlight=flak Text not found and from 2004. So I gave up.

I use a few cliches many people use and that's your proof. Well done Sherlock Holmes.

Do you know what's really scary is people would rather ignore what this member says in favor of appearing like an idiot.

Stu stop being so arrogant. Just because no one write to you it does not follow no one writes to anyone. Pam for instance is always telling us members talk to her.

So do other sponsors. Maybe you need to change your tack and cultivate members more. I do it on the message board on the paysite all the time and it works.

Yeah I read some of the posts on your 'message board' the other day. Its amazing how nobody posts anything even a slight bit negative (broken links, unable to login, etc.). Instead, all the surfers seem to PRAISE your site for some reason. I wonder if I left a message on your board if it would show up. I know it wouldn't so I'm not even gonna try.

Hey guys if you want a good laugh check out Paul's 'message board' sometime. The link is at the bottom of every one of his websites. Oh and don't worry Paul, I've bookmarked this thread and I'll be sure to bump it on a regular basis...I know you want/need the exposure!

Go back and read it again then, you missed something.

Could it be that I fix those problems right away and then delete the thread because it's no longer relevant?

Maybe on your site the broken links don't get fixed so fast, maybe you get more complaints. But you said surfers don't talk to you so maybe it's only complaints you get.

Yes we get broken links, we get videos that do not load, because I'm stupid and forget to tag them as videos, we get people forget their log ins, we did have a problem with hackers auto downloading and grinding the site to a halt while we were asleep and unable to boot them out. Got a problem at the moment with one member and his download speed, I think it's his routing, but he says otherwise.

But why leave those threads up after they are resolved? Only someone very stupid would do that and only only a little bit stupid.

Like I said not everyone does it the same way as you. I'm sure you are great and few can do it better. But ............

Incidentally most of the threads are compliments, but as everyone will tell you our content is sold very widely. Could the compliments and sales be because we are good at shooting porn?

Just a shot in the dark.

You can post there and I will leave it up so long as it's not linking to another site, unless you return the compliment. Will be interesting to see what others say.

Searched for, could that be it's harder to find?

What business are you in?

Because if you think Gay is bigger than Teens it's not the porn business.

I never said the most successful, most searched, or hardest to find.

I said the biggest niche and Teen is the biggest niche.

FACT: Teen is the most oversaturated niche in porn. Paul knows this.

Yes TEEN is over saturated.

Fortunately lots of the sites don't cut it. Which leave a lot of very good money for those that do. Now tell us that you can't convert TEEN so no one else can.

Do you want me to list all the sites that do cut it and make very good money or do you want to quit when you're behind?

The best thing I ever did was start investing heavily in content and feeds to keep members happy.... Rebills are what keeps me in business.

Got to agree with that... Most teen sites don't cut it.... Gotta admit that we do very well with our teen traffic tho

Very true. We keep buying and adding to the site. It keeps members longer but the really good thing is the guys who come back in say 4 to 6 months to get all the new stuff. You have to please him the first time round though.

EB spot on.

I think the surfers we all sell to, in the main, are an educated lot. Of course some fear that and moan about, others are trying to educate them more.

I also think sites shot by one guy, one way, one style are very boring after a while. How many times do you want to see the same cock get blown the same way?

Stu got a letter from the surfer who sent the one this thread is about and the surfer does know what he's talking about. He knows a few here, I'm waiting for Stu to come clean and tell us about the email.

He sent it to me as well.

And lastly, because I have better things to do on a Sunday night, the reason there are so many TEEN sites is because many work. To argue the niche is saturated because they do not work is stupid. Like saying my content does not work because it's over sold. People who say this are telling you they can't make it work.

Marketing 101: It's cheaper to hold on to existing customers than it is to find new ones.

This is actually a major concept taught in begining marketing classes.

Okay, so Paul hit's me up on ICQ and asks me if I got some email from his 'member'. Smells fishy if you ask me. What do you guys think? Here is the chat log...

Quote:
Paul Markham (10:57 PM) :
Hi Stuart.
You never posted the email from my member. LOL
He is real and he's not me.
Ask Steve and Richard they both know him.

Paul Markham (09:03 AM) :
Did you answer the email?

Stu (08:01 PM) :
i have spamarrest. did you verify yourself? i got nothing from you.

Paul Markham (09:36 PM) :
It was not from me it was from the surfer who sent the original email, not sure if he verified it or not.

Stu (09:37 PM) :
no he didnt

Paul Markham (10:14 PM) :
I think he used a new email. I will send it to you.

Paul Markham (10:15 PM) :
Well, well Stubradley of Frostedfaces, it was a peace of cake finding you
out. So you are the "great non-believer" on the ability of members being
able to have more than two brain cells to outhink Jeopardy rejects like you.
Frostedfaces, where did you come up with such a 'brilliant' tag like that,
shit at least I've done my rounds and paid membership fees to: FTVGIRLS;
NAUGHTYAMERICA;
SOCALCOEDS; SAPPHICEROTICA; TEENDREAMS; LITTLEAPPRIL; LESBOMACHINE;
SEXYTEENPARADISE; and others that I can't remember, one month each and cut
my losses.

The only repeat is SAPPHIC because they are without question the class of
the business, head and shoulders above the rest and of course,
PAULMARKHAMTEENS, so cut the bellyaching, you are dealing with mature adults
who know what they want. Tell me, what were you doing before you got into
this business, did you ever asked RocHard eh? He spent 4 years in the US
Marine Corps, left to go to College, got himself a Business Degree
and...hooked-up with Steve Jones a.k.a. 'Lightspeed'; his claim to fame:
designed and launched 'Tawnee Stone' site, so much for higher learming.
Lightspeed himself was earning a couple of $200K in IT until his fetish for
cheerleaders drove to quit and start in this business, so don't give us
anymore of your bullshit and, if you have any balls, any balls at all you
will print this e-mail in Paul's thread on GFY 'as is' or you will continue
to be a pussy, you hear frostedface.

Paul Markham (10:17 PM) :
He's had some chats with two people in the industry and seems to know what he's talking about. He's the guy who posted on my forum about his slow speed. Found out he's going via Cox's network which is a bottle neck.

Stu (10:25 PM) :
this is too funny...sure i'll post it

Paul Markham (10:25 PM) :
Why do you think it funny?

Paul Markham (10:34 PM) :
Ask Steve and Richard if they know this guy.
But if you think it's a joke that a guy who spends money on the Internet feels like this, then maybe you need a rethink.
Respecting the customer is the first step to selling more.

Paul Markham (10:35 PM) :
I'm starting a review site soon, I will do a review on Frosted Faces for you.

Stu (10:36 PM) :
i do respect my customers and i do keep in contact with many of them.

Stu (10:36 PM) :
i would rather you didn't

Many here think it's best to ignore or denounce this email rather than accept it as a genuinely from a member. If you feel it is genuine you have to address his concerns. If you denounce it you can carry on as you are.

Stu feels it's fishy, even though the sender has obvious knowledge of the business, knowledge I did not posess. Is it better for Stu to denounce the email or accept it?

Is the sender still talking like me?

I would say a very large part of the small income the paysite makes is from members coming back after a few months. Am I better at this than others, do all sites get these rejoins or is it a case of "I don't so no one else does".

Paul, Paul, Paul. Since I have no return address to send an official reply to your 'member' I will post this here. We both know that you are the same person anyways.

In your email you ask me what I was doing before I got into this business. Well Paul, unfortunately for you I spent a little over two years studying criminology with a minor in (criminal) psychology. One of the many things I learned in my studies was how to tell when people are being decitful in both spoken words and writing. Basically, how to understand what people are REALLY telling you.

There are 10 reasons why I KNOW that you wrote that email. My thinking that you wrote the original sniplet that started this thread was just a strong hunch that was fortified by every rebuttal you made later on. Well, let's not waste any more time...here are the reasons:

Quote:
1. The most obvious clue is that you wrote the second email using broken sentences, bad punctuation and lots of upper case letters to show me that it 'was not you' writing the email. You even concrete the evidence by saying here on GFY, "Is the sender still talking like me?" No Paul, you made sure he was not. *rolls eyes*

2. Criminal Psychology 101: When accused a guilty person will go to great lengths to 'convince' you he is innocent. Whereas an innocent person will just tell you the truth, expect that you believe him and leave it at that. I think it fair to say you have went out of your way to convince me this 'surfer' is real.

3. This email was obviously written by somebody who does not like me. Look at all the name calling (reject, pussy, etc.). For someone who had only first heard of me a few minutes prior to writing this 'he' sure has a lot of pent up hostilaty towards me. If this letter really was from a 'surfer' who didn't know me it would have been much more calm.

4. I didn't get the email from 'him' but rather from you over ICQ.

5. You tell me on ICQ that 'he' used a NEW email. How do you know that it was new? And how do you know so goddamn much about a guy who just stumbled accross your site 3 weeks ago?

6. 'He' said, "so don't give US anymore of your bullshit." A 'surfer' would have said, "so don't give PAUL any more of your bullshit" as I had no interaction with 'him' prior to 'his' email. You really need to proofread more Paul.

7. Your 'surfer' knows Steve Lightspeed's real last name. I've been in this industry since 2000 and I don't/didn't even know Steve's real name.

8. He makes reference to the fact that he has "paid membership fees" to all these websites. How else does a surfer normally get into the member's areas? However someone in the industry who is accustomed to getting free access might think it important to point this out. *wink wink*

9. I assume you emailed your 'surfer' a link to this thread. I find it odd that he refers to the board as 'GFY'.

10. I also find it to be a huge coincidence that this 'his' two favorite sites (Lightspeed and SapphicErotica) are the ONLY TWO sites you promote on your forum. Not only that but he makes a nice sales pitch for them on your forum as well. *rolls eyes again*

11. 'He' points out the fact that I misspelled 'brilliant' in an earlier reply and then misspelled "peace" in 'piece of cake'. Thats not really evidence that it was you...it's just really damn funny!

Well Paul, are you gonna confess yet? I suspect that you won't but that instead you'll continue to post more evidence to support that you and him are the same person.

What really hurts me the most though Paul is the name calling. We've all had a great laugh here (at your expense) but I have never sunk so low as to call you names. Yes, I regretably suggested earlier that you had "shitty" content. I wish I had said 'saturated' instead. Unfortunately we can not take things back once they are posted here.

The supposed lie Paul presented to divert attention was based on some amazingly loose logic and some rather questionable assumptions. It really is a major compliment that the best he could do is pick on a site description on the program site page where the designer had used some of his content

If you try hard enough you can always come up with something, and if thats the best he had ... business is rock solid

Paul you speak about it being easier to retain a customer than find a new one. Does that also apply to affiliates? I icqed you asking about text links to your site. You couldnt even be assed to reply (a few icqs actually).

Theres no chance im promoting you now mate.
