Fletch--not sure if u aware--only speaking about cause my son was out with his friend at a sweet 16 till about midnight.....this past saturday...2 hours later he hung himself---now another boy did it---and 1 on the 16th....if your sons friend killed himself i think u would understnd more

Where is your son while you are posting on an adult message board?

If you are going to tell people that they would understand better had it been their son's friend then I feel compelled to tell you to get the fuck off the computer and be with your child. Spend some time with him or do something for the community that will make a difference.

People are judging Fletch and others for posting their opinions because they are harsh. Welcome to reality. As an adult one would think that you would be used to it by now.

As for the thinning of the herds comment.....I've bee saying that for years. People commit suicide because they have failed in life. Many of those failures could have been prevented with better support systems. Anybody want to be that all 3 of those kids were enrolled in public schools?

Arron (my frind from phuket?)..dude...you have no idea about my realtionship with my son..been divorced since 98 out of house since 96--still see my kid every day and talk to him several times a day.--lived 6 blocks from him--never lived futher than 3 miles--i am closer with my son Id say than most fathers not divorced.

It's nice that you have a good relationship with your son but again...How does posting about it here make a difference?

Sounds to me like your community could use the kind of support you have given your son. Clearly you care about the community or you would not be bothered by this....So why not see what you can do to help ensure it doesn't happen a 4th time.

I always wanted to write a book on how to be a good divorced father. my x wife told me all men suck--fathers suck--she seen hers 2 times since she was 10---because of that when i got divorced my kids were 2 and 5 and i made it my mission in life.

Now 11 years later my daughter who is 13 and son who is 16 are simply great kids. Every person who meets my kids cant believe what agreat kids they are. And I love to have agreat time but my kids always came first..

I have made so many mistakes in life but I have done 1 thing really well and that is being a dad after being divorced.

Yesterday i purschaed divorceddads.com and am setting up a forum for where men can sommunicate with each other about isuues with kids..I hope to have it up within 1 month...

remember suicide is not anyones fault. not the parents and not the school, friends or family. suicide is action taken directly by one person to end their life immediately due to reasons usually connected to emotional stress. accept it was their will to end their lives for whatever reason. talk to your son about it, get the emotions cleared, make sure there is always an underlying reason to keep living..life is a roller coaster ride, and it might as well be a fun ride.

For the record, Howard...I like you as well but that doesn't change the facts or my opinions about suicide or the failing "support systems."

I've been down some dark roads in my past as I'm sure most others have. I've lost friends who killed themselves just like your son has.

I currently have a very close friend in who is suffering from severe depression and a host of other issues. It would not surprise me at all if they killed them self last night. I do what I can for them to show that somebody cares but at the end of the day, it's 100% up to them. As Fletch suggested, they are also medicated which is something I have always been against. Either you can cut it or you can't and filling your body with chemicals so you can deal with life just doesn't seem logical to me. It's not hatred, it's harsh reality. It would hit me very hard if this person killed them self but life for me would go on. Only the strong survive and suicide is another way of thinning the weak from the herds.

Meanwhile, I will stand by them through thick and thin just like I have stood by Amputate Your Head while the rest of this board has shit on him because of his issues. Hopefully I will never lose either one of these people as they both mean a lot to me.

There is millions of poor people who are just happy to be alive for another day and some stuck up suburb kid dare whines about their life enough to commit suicide? where are the parents? i was raised properly so i do not sit and dwell on complete bullshit. they are always partially to blame, it is their job to provide their child with loving surroundings for their entire life and give them a place where they can come back to and be happy no matter what hardships are in their lives. they wanted an out and they took it, people need to stop trying to put some bullshit medical term attatched to the kids and just realise maybe they were stupid kids who took life to seriously?

The first media outlet that came out and said that prescription drugs had anything to do with these suicides would be slaughtered and chopped for sale by morning. JP-pornshooter Confirmed User Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: westcoast usa Posts: 4,007	hey howard, thats really really sad and impossible to understand. remember suicide is not anyones fault. not the parents and not the school, friends or family. suicide is action taken directly by one person to end their life immediately due to reasons usually connected to emotional stress. accept it was their will to end their lives for whatever reason. talk to your son about it, get the emotions cleared, make sure there is always an underlying reason to keep living..life is a roller coaster ride, and it might as well be a fun ride.

Now 11 years later my daughter who is 13 and son who is 16 are simply great kids. Every person who meets my kids cant believe what agreat kids they are.
