Your kidding, right? The 6 Day War was a completely defensive war that started with military build ups on the Israeli borders by Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan. Had the Soviets not brokered the cease fire Israel would've marched right through to Cairo, Damascus and Amman. How is that in any way comparable to the invasion of Iraq?

Yes, the Israeli occupation of the entire Arab world would have gone swimmingly. The lands they did occupy during that war (West Bank, East Jerusalem, Golan Heights) are what plague them to this day as it is. No, they need the billions of dollars in military aid we provide them to support their air force and nuclear arsenal. They don't need our army, and they are not a satellite of ours, but they rely heavily on our aid. It's not charity though, we need them too.

The technological playing field is becoming more level as time goes on to the point where the size of your army is less important. A billion Chinese fighters will disintegrate under a big bomb explosion just as easily as a single man.

I dont think that holds so true anymore. Israel is too worried about casualties, like the US and other nations are today. Lebanon in 2006 showed that no doubt they have the technology to blow shit up but politicians don't let the military fully follow up on the ground.

It wasn't just the supply line being caught off...all 4 of those countries mobilized their troops on the Israeli borders and their sole purpose was to invade Israel. The fact that the IDF stuck Egypt first was irrelevant at that point...they had no choice, as they couldn't stay mobilized forever.

I don't think Lebanon was so much about the casualties as it was the fact that Israel had to walk on eggshells during this most recent conflict in Lebanon due to Hezbollah being so entrenched in civilian villages and using them as a human blockade/shield. Israel could've easily leveled most of Lebanon had it chosen to not be sensitive to civilian casualties...
