Based on what I read - yes I would have been pissed if I had sceen her name on my credit card bill and probally would have accused her as well publically. I would have been SUPER pissed if someone else like mike hawk did it for me though without my concent.

but re-reading everything Lisa's posted and her consistant stance on this issue - honestly I beleive her now. She is innocent here.

legally - against czasa it may be hard to sue. what he said at the start was pretty solid. against mike hawk - you have legal grounds to go after him and should. him posting your name was honestly SLIMY. against the hotel - there is a HUGE lawsuit there and you should sue them.

At this post I feel Lisa Sparx is honest and a victum and has had her career hurt substaintly over this.

I would disagree. Her best legal chances are against the guy who made this thread and essentially called her a crook. The hotel clearly made a mistake, but that mistake didn't force others to defame her. The evidence was still very flimsy at the time.

You called her a thief and a crook. You said she shouldn't be trusted in the industry. Free speech means nothing if you called her something she is not and it hurt her reputation. Caza was probably the most careful in the thread, but his insinuations fueled the fire.

I've had my problems with Lisa in the past. She may be a little naive when it comes to running an affiliate program but not once did I think she was capable of intentially screwing affiliates. Tony404, I am not a lawyer nor know the laws, but I believe one can name anyone in a lawsuit as long as a legal name and address is served, and one might have to deal with it, even if it is just paper work to clear ones name.

and Sleazy, after I read your lengthy apology, my immediate inclination was to congratulate you for seeing the light and doing the right thing... that inclination is tempered somewhat by your still-moronic subsequent postings

before you settle into your smug north-of-the-border secureness, I know for a fact that there are many kinds of pacts between the US and Canada in regards to fiscal responsibility of individual citizens... for instance, if you run up a bill to one country's revenue dept, the other country will collect from you on the first country's behalf... so I wouldn't be at all surprised if a Canadian civil court would collect on behalf of a US court's judgment

and I would LOVE to be present in court when you tell the judge "but, but, but... the evidence was all there on the board! and from bros! I shouldn't be held accountable for my libelous statements!"

Although Sleazy started in the gutter with very negative comments and bold accusations directed towards Lisa, I commend him for ultimately deciding to take the high road, and apologizing to Lisa.

I've been told by mutual acquaintances that Scott (Sleazy) feels like he has to live up to his GFY board persona, so he frequently states things that they claim are out of character with the person he really is. I guess this is an example of that.

I believe in compassion and reconcilliation, and try to adhere to the principal of, "To err is human, to forgive is divine." If he is sincere (and not simply covering his ass legally), then I think what he has done is a good thing.

Let's see if Mike Hawk and Ycaza can similarily seek redemption by apologizing to Lisa (in the absence of anything that resembles hard proof that she did anything wrong).
