that's a great idea but the type of guy you meet on the street is not the type that would join any site.. Giving away something like this online somewhere you would have way better luck.

I've thought about that as well, then I think back to the Yappo days. Every VOD company was giving away free minute cards, we gave 30 free minutes. No catch, no rebill, nothing.

2% redeemed the free minutes, not bad when the average "coupon" redemption is .5%. However, retention on them were horrible. So in the end it wasn't worth the print cost, bandwidth, customer service, etc.
