Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it was possible. I'm open to hard link trades with the right sites. Also, I have started loading new sponsors. This is definitely where the script shines. I think I may blow the whole db out and start fresh with fresh sponsors. Maybe even make the site categorized.

I threw in the import of flash videos in the last days of writing this script. It's just an easy way to get something going but by no means was it meant to be what this script is about. Some people blew the script off thinking they only got 2000 flash vids and everyone would have the same site. They have no idea! ![]() When a sponsor goes "new fhg's today!" you'll go "swoop, Pull Content, 50 secs...ahhhhhh! 200 new vids added", While idiots are cropping thumbs in photoshop to link to a gallery on their 1999, outdated, non-tube, TGP, has-been website. If you have the right server up (which a lot of you don't) you'll be clicking and farming out multiple domains while fools are still "getting their FTP on".

1off,
I wouldn't throw out the perfect gonzo flash. That is some bad assed shit!!!!!!! Their interface is the max! You might want to look at that before you clean out the db. To each his own, but no way would I ever toss that.

If you see a blowjob video and want a blowjob category then type "blowjob" in the "new category" field and the category will be created for that domain and the video will belong to that category. But it still stays under the original category at the main level!!! But on the domain you will have channel.shtml/blowjob and get a page with those videos. Futher, If you browse at the domain level and enter new categories like this blowjob ebonyblowjob interracialblowjob gayblowjob Then this link "channel.shtml/blowjob" will bring up video from all those categories. But when the surfer clicks on a ebonyblowjob vid he then gets a list of thumbs of more ebonyblowjob vids on the video page panel. The number of ebonyblowjobs vids he can now surf through is set in the domain config as "Thumb per Category bin". There's a lot of stuff I haven't had time to explain, but this one of the best ways to "mico niche" portions of your site.

I suggest you throw the path variables into a config file.
Installing to cgi-bin is silly when you're on a server that likes cgi anywhere, thus the option is needed to quickly change that path without searching out all the paths in the script. -Ben

Seems one of the "Install in this directory only NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!!" checks
are inside one of your obfuscated files. Care to tidy it up? Code:
ERROR: Wrong cgi-bin path entered

Almost there, but having to un-obsufcate this whole thing just to change the
install path is really user unfriendly. Config/View/Formatting information/markup should *never* be included in hidden encrypted/encoded/obsufcated files. Don't worry even mansion make this mistake in everything they code, and they consider themselves pros :-) Could you maybe send me your version, then I can share some changes with you while using your original function names rather then these messy ones? -Ben

I'm trying to install it but I have lots of problems.
The error is 500 internal server error. Premature end of script headers: /cgi-bin/tube/main.cgi I did not have to change the path to perl. It is /usr/bin/perl as was designated in the script when i unzipped it. I have tried many different permissions styles 755 775 777, and none work May you please help me? |

Still fixing bugs...... Would be easier without all the messy ugly stuff.
This whole section seems very bugged, but typo for your reference. Code:
This video is not avaiable

It seems to setup all the directories it needs write access in to 755.
Should be 777. -Ben

LOL Now with a reinstall into a crappy cgi-bin dir to make it all look fucked.....
It says I can't get another license cause I already have one. Ok..... I'll release a free script to do all this in a few weeks... Will be easier then dealing with this. -Ben

You should: - upload with a FTP program in ascii (which removes DOS line feed) - install the script in the cgi-bin (sorry, that's how I wrote it) - have a server that gives your account the same permissions as the script. That's why you can't remove the files. Your server admin can change that. - manually chmod 777 on writeable directories when the script notifies you to - email me so you could get another freetrial

For example: if you had categories: blackgirlblowjob; blackgirlhandjob, blackgirlanal, blackmonstercock Then a partial of "blackgirl" imports all the above except blackmonstercock, and a parital of "black" or "bla" or "b" or "a" or "l" imports all the above. So it can be dangerous to use just a couple of letters. ![]()

![]() See date on the first post. Yeah, don't use frontpage to edit the templates. It messes up the tags used by the script to insert videos and links. If the server is "parsing" html pages with frontpage then you might need to turn this off. I'm thinking of a way around this for the new release, but no guarantees. I have no clue about all the wierd shit frontpage does. What I really don't get is that it takes less time to learn basic html than it does to figure out frontpage, so why do people use it? When I first became a webmaster I installed frontpage and tried it for 20 minutes and said fuck this, learning html is faster.

Cool!
You will be smiling big time in about a week with the new version. It has some awesome features. Thanks for emailing me to solve the issues. There can always be some issue because webservers are being setup very differently. The only issues I haven't been able to solve is when the server admin will not install something for the webmaster. That issue is solved by getting a new hosting company. ![]()

You did not upload the file using an FTP program so the script and files were not formatted for linux. That's the problem.
Delete all the files and start over and use an FTP program like SmartFTP to upload the files. See, the program is written on my pc and therefore has a PC file format which means it has a different new line character sequence than linux. The FTP program fixes that when you upload ascii files in ascii mode and binary files like jpg in binary mode. Since webmasters have to open the file to change the path to perl and sendmail it does no good for me to make the file in linux format since when they save the file they just edited on thier PC it will convert back to a PC format. http://tubecgi.com/install.html
