About Billers.........
I have done much reading regarding the different type of billers.
CCBill, if I understand correctly, they charge 14.7 % to start, but all sales are paid? No chargebacks to worry about right? My goal would be to set up an independent site to sell "credits" to be used on my site, and plan to the processing cost to the final cost of my credits. For example 100 credits would be sold for $118, the $118 would cover the 14.7% that CCBill would charge for processing. Is there an average % of chargebacks that people use to make calculations? Some billers charge around 4% but they hit you for chargebacks, could I assume that charge backs will usually be less than 11% of my total sales? What other sites/programs are out there that offer something similar to CCBill? Epassporte, do they allow you to accept payments via them? According to their site they do, but when I call and ask what would be the % fee I get the run around. They tell me they will email me the information, but what I get is the same generic info telling me to call them to get an actual %fee as it changes by volume and type of business. I have called 3 times, and emailed them 4 times. Am I just unlucky, or they rather not get involved with adult sites hence they sortha just ignore my potential business? |

Is this an adult site (non tangible goods) you are talking about?
Where are you located (country)?

Yes, this would be an adult site, non tangible goods. MOstly webcam shows. I am located in USA, some other owners would be located in MExico, and others in COlombia. We are in the process of deciding in which country we want to register the company. Cyprus maybe? Will contact Segpay in a few days, but what is good about them? I did try some searches to get answer to my questions, but by doing searches I couldn't come up with "good" info. I would like to learn and at the same time allow others to learn by being able to read posts, instead of having to contact each of the different service providers. |

Higher volume merchants can get a direct account around 4%. the mid-smaller guys will pay about 5.0-7% for a direct mid.

Hi ManyquestionsGuy,
First I would like to point out that our fees for US clients starts at 14.5% not 14.7% and decreases as your weekly volume increases. Yes, you are right, we do not pass on the chargeback penalties. I can be reached at [email protected], or icq 49584169 if you have additional questions about our services. Thanks, Jeff (CCBill) |

They do hold money, up to 20% for chargebacks. Chargebaks worry me, as I have no idea up to what % usually comes back as chargebacks. |

LOL well if anything I have found a handful of leads to research.
What is up with Epassporte? Do they, or don't they offer billing options? Looking at the big pictures, billers are going to charge a low rate, but make me eat my own chargebacks, or charge a higher rate and eat the chargebacks for me, correct? Is there some type of average chargebacks that can be expected? For those using billers with low % rates but no chargebacks protection, about how much do you usually "estimate" your chargebacks to be? |
