Premiere Pro CS3? I guess it depends on how you want to split. I haven't had to do anything in bulk only splitting by a set length.

Do you have access to boot camp? Install bootcamp + XP SP2 and use windows software. This will get rid of any software hungerings you might have that are only windows based.

As a side note i wish they would bring Coda for the Mac to the damn PC. I cant exist in the Mac world, but its a damn good program.

Nope.. no Boot Camp here.. using a PowerPC G5.

I will look into Premiere... i am sooooo used to Final Cut though. Still working off version 5.1.. haven't upgraded yet. Don't even know if the new one accomplishes that.

You might want to give these a look as well:

Been having issues with Visual Hub running Leopard on an Intel Mac, but no issues on my old G4.

Check out the program d-vision http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8825

It can do splitting by length or size based chucks, has a batch mode etc...

Plus it's free.

Splits Divx, Xvid, H.264... Actually, this is not as bad as your thing. Just adjust your workflow, Make your Full version video quicktime... Then split it... then batch convert to Wmv if you like...

Also there are 2 different splitting tools... One for just AVI and the other for the other formats. Hey it's free....
