Any Webair reps? Can't access ftp account...

Yea, I just signed up yesterday and was given ftp login information and it doesn't work. Incorrect password.

I tried using the support feature on the site but it says "Not all forms filled out" and they all are, leaving me no way to leave a support ticket.

So I emailed my account rep but I figured this would be faster, as I was hoping to start working immediately and this is throwing a little snag in the process.

Is there any Webair reps that can take care of this for me?

Also, I tried creating 2 new ftp accounts and they both don't work.

domain: www.theblissbox.com

thanks.

Hmmm...well, I only signed up because people on this board always suggest them. Now I'm a little worried since I run into problems with them the first day of registration.

No access to my ftp in 24 hours and the support ticket system doesn't even function.

Which host did you move to?

I paid for a year, do you think they will refund my money if I choose to go somewhere else. To me, problems in the first 24 hours only spells future trouble.

Ya, that form has been broken for a long time. They used to have live support for Virtual Accounts, but no longer do. Not sure why. You'd think they had a big enough support team to handle it.

The Webair Starter plan (entry level shared plan) is the ONLY plan that does not include live chat or phone support (ticket support only). ALL other virtual, dedicated and colo plans do.

What is your money back policy?

I'm worried at this point that the only support option I have doesn't even work...

I'm thinking about phatservers...people seem to really like it.

Let's see how long it takes them to fix a simple problem of no ftp access and no support tickets ( even though with my plan that is the only method of support yet it doesn't work ).

Also waiting to see if they will refund my money due to my disappointment in the services.

I always say first impressions are everything and this is a bad bad start so why risk it? My old host fucked me over and it can't happen again.

So...now I'm just waiting.

Sorry, that is what I meant. I think the names of the plans have changed since I started hosting with Webair nearly three years ago. I still don't understand why you don't offer this support anymore to Starter plans. I would think a great number of people would be signed up to this option.

Now is the point where they will hit you up and offer you Free hosting if you stop posting the truth that they suck and post how they took care of you and all that webair is great bull shit for them...LMAO

The reality is they do suck and you need to move asap. you mentioned phatservers, i hear for small virtuals they are a good choice.

Other than their poor support these days, I haven't had any problems with them. Which is why I stay there. I think these people who trash Webair just do it to jump on the bashwagon.

Funny you say that, they offered me 1 month free hosting for troubles.

The only thing that scares me is the fact that with the small virtual account they say I only get ticket support, yet the ticket support system doesn't even work.

I'm gonna think on this one...

Can anyone share any bad experiences they have had.

I was told they have a 30 day money back guarantee and I may want to switch before the going gets worse.

money back or free hosting is nice

weve had that with previous hosts, in the end it doesnt work, you still get annoyed and a few days free hosting isnt gonna do it

phatservers is good from what ive heard, we went for mojo cause 2 people told me bout them and didnt push I just asked where they hosted, they do have a nice deal its a sticky I saw check it out, but if youre goin with another host np at all offcourse

jonpotz as you know the FTP issue you were having has been resolved. The ticketed support system does work. You can create a ticket one of 2 ways:

1. Login to your control panel and open a ticket from there. (preferred method)
or
2. Simply send an email to support AT webair.com and ticket will be automatically generated.

You also have your account rep's contact info and are welcome to contact him when needed.

We appreciate your business and if there is anything you need please let us know. Thank you.

Well if you looked correctly you would see its mainly hired trolls and sigwhores who recommend them. And if you looked even better you would notice that there are complaint threads about them almost daily. Way more than any other adult host out there.

I'm neither a hired troll nor a sigwhore....I have a dedicated and I have maybe one minor problem a year average with them....I have never had a virtual and I don't have any fancy scripts on my site so I can't attest to their reliability when it comes to anything but a basic yet popular paysite serving large video files.

Okay...so they got my ftp finally working...apparently it was a DNS issue.

Just when I thought I could get things rolling I go to register an SSL cert with them and I enter my enrollment information. I click the submit button and LOW AND BEHOLD, more form problems...the form is telling me "The CSR state must not be abbreviated"...The thing is, I spelled out my state and it is not abbreviated.

I can't seem to get any work done

Did anyone else run into a shit load of issues with webair the first few days? Tell me it gets better.

But seriously, just from all those posts on gfy...you have to admit something is wrong there. There are so many big hosts with clients on gfy and its always fucking webair that have threads like this. All the fucking time. You can say what you want but that simple means something.

Im with Reflected and yes i had problems when i moved there but that was an isolated case. How often do you see negative posts about Reflected?

amazing comment ..... ( nice sig BTW.... ).

TO jonpotz :

For your ssl. I strongly suggest you use godaddy ( 19.99 / year - 14.99/ with coupons ). You have to make sure that you create the proper ssl ... www.yourdomain.com is not the same as yourdomain.com ... you will have errors showing that it is an untrusted site. If you never done that, read very carefully the " how-to "

We have a lot of clients with stores and ssl ... we even offer the installation ... ...

I got a 10 per month plan so I can set this shit up before I start pounding it with traffic...makes sense right?

I couldn't call because I work a 9-5 and keep pretty busy, plus I don't really want my coworkers knowing my business.

I can't open a support ticket BECAUSE IT DOESNT FUCKING WORK.. It is another field problem "Not all fields are filled out, please return and try again". THEY ARE ALL FILLED OUT.

I am on ICQ, it is just not loaded.

So...Please...

Now, back to the issue at hand, hopefully they will get this fixed, I emailed the rep.

I was just wondering if anyone ever ran into problems like this before. It is scary that only a day after setting this up I have run into a bunch of problems.

They fixed the FTP relatively quickly but now this...and the ticket support issue..

If you did your homework you would know that answer, IT will only get worse mate. Nothing but support issues and downtimes with a webair virtual.
