![]() And why Pay Per Click is a good solution for both sides. Webmasters AND Sponsors...
When talking to affiliate programs, I can often feel that they see pay per click networks as pure competition and usually they are shy to put some money on the table to start some campaigns. It's true that pay per click ads may replace their banners on webmaster's sites. But it's not necessarily a bad thing. Instead of a competitor, sponsors could look at PPC mainly as a technical platform. A platform that can help them get only the traffic that works for them. The countries they can convert. The sites and niches that work with their products. Using some tracking tools to monitor the ROI in real-time. If one sponsor can't convert for example European countries, others can. And the PPC network will show the best campaigns for each surfer. Everything will be monetized. Generating more revenue for the webmaster. I think it's pretty hard for any affiliate program to compete with a solution that offer hundreds of campaigns in almost all countries, and paid CPC instead of a revenue share. But at the end of the day, sponsors can get from PPC Networks the traffic that sell with their product, and reject the rest, that may work for others. So if you are running an affiliate program, don't close the door to Pay Per Click, there is some business for you to make with networks that commit to help you reach your ROI goals. And if you are a webmaster, you should really give it a try. It was just my 2c for the day. Check my sig if any of this is interesting you. I'll be happy to have a chat with you ;)

Sponsors aren't afraid of pay per click networks. They are afraid of wasting money on overpriced clicks that convert as good as blind popups.

That's another reason yes. But not all pay per click networks deliver shitty traffic.

Speakin of 2 cents, most ppc traffic is worth less than that. If you can sell me 1 cent clicks (or less) than I'll listen.

I'm glad you said "most ppc" ![]() Just for info, we can target sites, countries, keywords and categories. Fully transparent. And we have a tag that can track your conversions and calculate your ROI for each campaign and traffic source. That's the reason why advertisers can pay good CPCs with us.

So try the shoe on the other foot : Pay Per Click networks, especially never-heard-of ones shouldn't be affraid of actually making business sense. Start with 1 cent a click targeted us clicks. |

ExoClick, almost 2 years. But I've been around for about 8 years now. We do 50 Million Impressions per day. But not only adult. We have not pushed much on the adult biz yet.

I know PPC has a pretty bad reputation in the adult business, but I didn't know it was that bad.
WG, some aff programs do buy it. Others prefer to do affiliation only.

That's a good question and a lot of webmasters are asking this. That's why we have started a few days ago to showcase the sites in a market place: http://www.exoclick.com/network-site...lt=0&submit=Go
Only a few sites have been added until now though. We should have most of the sites online there in a few weeks.

In my opinion PPC is often a waste. Many people that approach me with PPC deals won't even let me have a couple days to test it out on an affiliate basis. They expect that I am going to blindly throw money at them for a "trial". If they are so sure that their clicks or spots are worth the money then let me test it on an affiliate basis. Another thing is that the reps or companies never want to tell you what their properties are. They say 1000's of sites all in the Alexa top 10 or some garbage like that. Just seems sketchy to me. CPA is the way to go, that way the sponsor knows that the campaign will be managed and not have to babysit it.
