Any spice experts?
I recently learned how to make gingered walnuts. I figured if you could use ginger, you can substitute other flavorful spices and still come out with a tasty treat.
I tried nutmeg, not too bad. Figured I would try cinnamon next. Anyone have any spice suggestions that would go good on walnuts? |

You might like to try cloves, galangal (ginger like), cassia (cinnamon's cousin), star anise (licorice like flavor)
or blends of: - cumin, cayenne and salt - cayenne and brown sugar - brown sugar, cinnamon and allspice Seasoned to your taste of course ![]() |

garlic and ginger with a dash of fresh cilantro (makes a big difference when you use fresh spices as compared to dried spices)..mix it up with veggies .
If you can get real creative.. try making your own spring rolls.. |

Did anyone mention All Spice, Coriander or Tabasco?
Cumin and Caraway is a common grind in my spice grinder which might make for a good walnut with Kosher salt
