how do i redirect my 404 etc traffic on wordpress sites?

Hey
I cant seem to be able to add code for redirecting my 404 etc traffic on domains that run wordpress, it always seems to get my the 404 error on my blog, and not redirecting me to what I have set up in htaccess

if I edit the 404.php in the wordpress admin and just put in some meta refresh code, it just gets me the standard IE 404 page

tryed that plugin, but it only works if i put in source url, and that I dont know as i dont know all my 404 adresses etc on my sites ;)

Sounds like you're using permalinks.
Try this:
Create a file on your website. Call it onerror.html. It can have just <html></html> in it for all that it matters.
In Wordpress's .htaccess file, add this to the top of the file:

ErrorDocument 401 /path/to/onerror.html

See if that makes any difference. If it doesn't, add another line with 403 instead of 401.
