Help with Photoshop CS4
I just installed Photoshop Cs4 few days ago and cant figure out why when i open a new document i see this.
http://img80.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pspcsil2.jpg it wont allow me to draw onto the checkered part.Is this normal or am i missing something? |

have you tried creating a new layer and then deleting the default 'background' layer?

the checkered layer is a 'clear background' that can't be edited at all from my experience. I myself wonder why cs4 creates a new doc with that layer?

When you create a new file ... in the popup box there is the Background Contents: option. Rather than 'Transparent', choose 'White'. Try that and let me know if that helps.
