I've never done this myself or thought I would ever try but living on a computer 25/7 is just about sucking ass right now and I'm even considering trying to find a 9/5 in the valley again so I can make human contact at work.
Someones talking me into it with all the crazy freaks he knows. Maybe I should give it a try.
They aren't that special, more like the type you would find coming out of Jail on Saturday morning
I don't have a studio I was thinking hotels or at the beach reality type shit. In a van down by the river or in a car.

Is something like this good enough ... no I don't have a lawyer.

Photographic Model Release Agreement
This agreement made on the _____ day of _________ 20___ is entered into between ___ (?model?) and Sexy Time (?photographer?) for usage of photographs of the model taken by the photographer on or about ____ (date).

In return for the consideration described below, the model hereby gives the photographer and those acting with the photographer?s permission the irrevocable right to use and/or copyright images of the model, in all forms and media and in all manners, including alterations and composite representations, for any lawful purpose without restriction (except as expressly provided below) and without further compensation to the model.

The model further releases the photographer, and those acting with the photographer?s permission, from any claims for remuneration or other compensation associated with any form of damage, whether foreseeable or not, sustained or suffered by the model (or any other person), associated with the commercial or artistic use of these images unless it can be shown that such reproduction was maliciously caused, produced and published for the sole purpose of subjecting the model to conspicuous ridicule, hatred, contempt or indignity.

The model waives any right to inspect or approve the finished photograph(s) or image(s), or any copy that may be used in connection with the photograph(s) or image(s), or the use to which it is applied.

The model acknowledges that at all times the photographer retains the copyright subsisting in the images and is the owner of all negatives from which the said images are directly or indirectly derived.

The photographer, and those acting with the photographer?s permission, agree not to use the images of the model in whole or in part to sell or promote sex, or to be used in conjunction with pornography, violence or illegal/illicit activities.

In exchange for modeling services, the model will receive the following compensation from the photographer:

1. One (1) printed copy (measuring approximately 15 x 10 centimeters) of each photograph taken by the photographer under the terms of this contract.
2. The irrevocable right to use and reproduce said photographs without alteration, for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes at the model?s expense and without compensation to the photographer.
3. The irrevocable right to use and reproduce said photographs without alteration, as part of a modeling portfolio or for other personal publicity purposes, at the model?s expense and without further compensation to the photographer, provided that the photographer?s name and copyright of the image is expressly acknowledged, unless it can be shown that such usage or reproduction was for the purpose of subjecting the photographer to conspicuous ridicule, hatred, contempt or indignity.

The model acknowledges being at least 18 years of age and legally, mentally, otherwise fully competent and sober to enter into this contract in his or her own name.

Honestly, I have never seen a generic one that I would use. Mine was drawn up by our attorney. It may be wise to have an attorney draw one up to fit your special needs

Just grabbed a few off my site and Photoshopped them, got more if you need it. These model releases are acceptable at the big publishers. I would advise you see a lawyer as well. These work for us in the Czech Republic, have seen 6 page ones that lawyers charged thousands to write up and did not cover all the bases and were confusing.So were kicked out of court.

Assuming the lawyer is working in the performing arts field this is excellent advice. If he's not it could be wrong and very bad. Check out what the lawyers knows and understands first.

Here are a few tips I've learned along the way.

On a casting if the girl is getting nude and looks 14 to 25 check her ID, 16 year olds can look 21 and you might get yourself in a sit load of problems by not checking her ID from the start. They don't mind if you sound professional.

When you shoot a girl for publication take a picture of her holding her 2 legal IDs next to her face. On every single scene. Take pictures or flat bed scans of her ID and check that you can clearly read them before she leaves. I take a picture of them by laying them on the floor, bed or table near a wall and bouncing the light off the wall. The reason for her to do this is so she can't say in the future that THIS SCENE was a test scene for free and not for publication.

Also to be more than safe you can get her to say into the video camera after the scene, her name, age, address, that she knew what she was doing, doing it for $XYZ, was under no coercion or pressure to do it and was not under the influence of drugs of alcohol at the time.

If her native language is not English translate the main model release into her native language and get her to sign it like the normal one.

Yes it's very involved, but done right it makes you look professional and it's not as involved as dealing with irate girls who get discovered naked and fucking some one on the Internet. Or those who simply want another pay day. They know they are screwed and if you do get a phone call from one causing trouble you can tell her you will see her in court and she will lose and pay your costs. Or you can be nice and give her more money. LOL

Chances are slim but I bet the guy who runs GGW was wishing he had taken these precautions. Got wrong the ultimate price is prison.

It's about covering your ass, not barely complying.

Let's assume a girl who is 16 decides to earn money in porn. So she gets 1 forged ID and she's in. Ask her for 2 and it's a little bit tougher.

OK yes she can get 2 and she can steal 2 from her older sister. But as you stand in front of the judge you can show you went beyond the law in trying to make sure she was legal. Would you prefer 1 ID in that situation? Also applies if you're buying content.

Some more tips when shooting. If the girl is close to her 18th birthday shoot her on the set holding the days paper. It clearly proves the day the scene was shot and stops any claims of post dating model releases. Also applies if you're buying content.

Another reason to shoot the girl on the set holding her ID. Shows that this is the model in question. Passports can have very bad pictures which might not look like the model on the day of the shoot. Flat bed scans could be of a different persons ID. Also applies if you're buying content.

Also make sure the ID includes the models signature. It shows the model signed the model release. And get the model to sign it like they signed the model release. Another way to ensure the the model owns the ID. Also applies if you're buying content.

All the above has been learned the hard way.
