By including the URL, you are making the content basically useless to those of us who have paid for it, as now dozens of less honest webmasters are probably scurrying to the URL to download the content, rendering the content overused and useless before we even get to use it.

Mike...my same message to AC FRED also goes to you. Please remove the IP address from your message. Some of us went the honest path and paid for this content. Now everyone can steal the content, which is definately not fair to the supplier nor all of us who paid honestly for the content.

Come on people...you all scream when someone hotlinks a single image form your server..by posting this URL you are giving access to thousands of photos and costing everyone serious cash.

Ya know what I really don't like about the content providing side of this business, is when you can tell there are disputes going on between webmasters, mostly cause nobody wants to lose clients to another provider and they go and bash a guy to make everyone paranoid. I sense that's the case here cause its sounding that way.

I've bought content on occasion where a photographer will e-mail saying that's his content and I didn't buy it from him and then you show him the papers with his sig authorizing someone else to broker it that you bought it from which he forgot he signed a couple years back and then the case is closed. Theres so many brokers, photographers, middlemen, sponsors providing content they had bought, etc. that its impossible for anyone to really know who is the real rightful owner.

All I say is if someone provides me documentation showing they have resell rights and it shows valid signatures, the original model releases and IDs, etc. then thats as good as you can obtain, and you've met your due diligence, until you find out otherwise.

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

First, this content is a bulk of the Max Candy collection up until early 2000. Everything that he produced. How do I know? I bought it from Max myself back then.

The custodian of records will have everything on file, for sure. However, I'm curious as to whether or not he has a right to resell all of this content from Max Candy, especially at those prices.

Someone should shoot an Email to him, I'd say it's worth asking. If this guy isn't an authorized reseller or if this pricing constitutes a breach of contract then none of you have the right to purchase or use this content.

I don't sell photos, I could care less. I'm not pushing my content. I'm also curious to find out what Adult Legal and the other Max Candy resellers would have to say about this? Someone should shoot em an email.

Well I've been buying gay content, so I don't know what the deal is with Max Candy, but he does have all the 2257 docs, releases, etc. and they all looked perfectly valid, so how the hell is anyone suppose to know for sure?

I've had content providers that won't even ship you the releases and just say show us as custodian of records, so how are we supposed to verify things in that case?

I already sent an email off to Max Candy earlier this evening. Hope to hear back by tomorrow. As I said before, hopefully this is all completely legit. If not, then I certainly won't use the content and will certainly be "encouraging" LoveMatch to refund all cash paid.

But until then, I'm assuming that a few of us got in on a good content sell-off.

I don't know for sure, but think it was a content provider in dispute over some servers and then some company got the servers with the content still on it and then there was some dispute over who would then be the owner of the content and whether or not the original licensor could still have the rights to it.

Like I said, from my experience there are 2 sides to every dispute and I like hearing both sides and judging things fairly based on the facts and documents each side argues its point with.

We are planning a content buy from Ounique which is a big broker and some other content provider had a post saying they are selling content in dispute which I find very hard to believe because Ounique is one of the bigger ones out there. But the point is content production and brokering is big business and highly competitive and very, very cut throat. I've seen so many cases of competitor bashing its unreal.

I don't think they resolved there differences since we're seeing splats of the dispute apparently here and now.

I look at things this way, until I see otherwise if I see the releases and all the documents and things look legit, I'm good to go. If a dispute arises, you see what the core of it is and work things out with all the parties to everyone's satisfaction as best as you can. Some disputes go on for years in this business.

I remember in the very early days of the Net we used to post our pictures on the Newsgroups with 900 numbers embedded in the pics. Totally free pics and yet for about a year I had this girl who would watch for everytime I posted a pic and she would send me this enormous email about using Newsgroups for commercial purposes was illegal and the Net was designed for non commercial use only. This girl was a total nut job about all the porn guys starting to exploit the marketing ops with this naturally perfect medium. She would post in the newsgroups total bs and crap that my guys would be charged hundreds of dollars on their phone bills if they called the 900 numbers and that 900 numbers were a big scam and the girls were all fat pigs they would talk to on the phone and not really look anything like the girls in the pics.
Finally got a good libel case on her and she went away.

There's one of those disputes between content providers it sounds like. LoveMatch has a lot of content, but its been around for several years obviously and its not fresh out of the market. So that's why he's probably brokering it for low prices.

I doubt most customers will care if a pic was made in 2002 or made in 1999 or whatever. It still looks good.

I see the point if stuff has been around a while it might not be as unique and effective.

LoveMatch claims his stuff is legit and everyone that bought it saw the docs and they look aok. I really think this whole thread is getting blown out of proportion. I mean its not like somebody is charging $10K here. We're talking a couple hundred bucks for some older content that still is nice.

And his other content he's not selling cheap. I think he just wanted to grab a bunch of new customers and the best way to do that is give them an incredible deal. He obviously can't make much money always doing specials and he did cutoff the sales after about a dozen which says a lot.

This guy, who apparently no one knows and it looks like he does not have a site, suddenly goes and throw up a deal that lot?s of you can?t resist.

Then dozens of you are so keen to grab it you rush in, knowing very little about him.

I think it?s someone who knows the industry and has bought a parcel of content and put it up as a marketing ploy.

It seems to be Max Candy?s. I know him and he would not sell it so cheap, he has money. But one of his resellers might do. It might even be one of his resellers. If it is MC works where are the models based? He shoots in Czech and Hungary.

But then why did he not come in with his real name?
Why does he seem to ignore the questions about who he is?
His profile gives nothing away.

But at $50 for 10,000 a lot cannot resist. Only hope it?s legit cos if it?s not you might find your sites down cos someone served notice on your host.

Not flaming anyone just making an observation. This as I said has been interesting.
