I hear you. An old friend of mine from a way back once owned an ethiopian restaurant and kept inviting me to check it out. I did one evening. I was the only customer in there, and ordered some sort of variety platter. He puts it all in front of me and I'm like okay, how do I go about eating this? Turns out you had to take these thin flat pancake things, rip a piece off, then scoop up the so-called "food" in it with your fingers, and shove it in your mouth. No utensils were present on the table.

I swear, years later when I saw that Seinfeld episode about Babu and that Pakistani restaurant I damn near shit myself reliving my experience.

Btw, on other food I could never figure out how to eat was whole lobster. the tail, yes, the claws, yes, but the body? I can never tell what's worth eating and what isn't inside that mess.

Krosh has told me that he appreciated my willingness to experiment with different foods, but I usually have someone with me that is at least familiar enough with the cuisine to suggest, "try this with that."

What I put together tasted okay, but wonder what it would be like if I had some guidance. And is this leftover tahini sauce something that would go okay with a salad?

With that combo my immediate google would have been "pepto bismol". WTF!!!

Eat these (falafel, hummus, pita, tahini sauce) and throw the rest out.
