:mad FUCK Norotns - They cant stop anything!

I will never buy another Nortons AV program...EVER! I used to have Nortons 360 fully updated and running just find. Then yesterday I get some worm that shuts Nortons down cold. I can't run a scan, I can't update, it won't even let me uninstall the program. Well I check out Kaspersky after someone here recommended it and Kaspersky went to work. Stopped that shit COLD! System is back to normal and my Nortons CD is in the trash. I think every Virus writer out there has Norotns code and exploits it.

Quit downloading illegal porn, visiting questionable sites, pirated software & opening .exe files from your email.

Oh man you are taking my fun away! LOL! Not sure where it came from. Last thing I remember was Google Toolbar was installed automatically, which was funny cause I was already running Google Toolbar.

Norton is terrible. It takes up a ton of resources and sucks as a virus scanner overall.

I gave up on Norton years ago.
Had it installed on my system and it happen a few times that after the virus came in to the system it alerted me and then would not take it off.
Had to go into safe mode to remove it.
I thought the purpose of anti virus software was to stop it before it entered the system but not according to the fuckers at Norton.
Then again if you ran Linux you would not have that problem to begin with

I was trying to find love on some Russian Bride site...

Kaspersky listed it as "Seneka" tried to do a search for the term but came up with nothing. It also restricted my internet access, I couldn't even goto Nortons website. If all the virus writers got together and put their knowledge to good use they could create the next Google!

Yeah Norton sucks, I always advise my friends not to use it. Not only does it not protect you from much, it is the biggest resource hog ever. I use AVG (it's free) and I have yet to have any problems.

AVG is good, I agree with that. Spybot S&D weekly updated and AVG free has worked pretty damn well for a while on my comp.

Im very happy using Trend Micro on my pc and AVG on my laptops, i combine them both with webroot and im very happy with the protection they offer. I also use T-R (Trojan remover) and Ascentive (speed inprover) they also check out pretty well (both scan on startup).

Nortons sux balls as much as McAfee they both slow down you computer way more than any other anti virus protection. The update downloads are 90% dumb shit.

Anyone try out Avira one?

Avast is great. Virus free for years, and I don't even notice it.

Norton is for your Aunt Fuckin Flo who doesn't know any better.

I liked Kaspersky but I didn't feel like renewing for the price, so I got Norton. I can see why cheap was just that...Cheap

Nortons Disk Doctor was great back in the day. I remember it saving my first 10 megabyte drive that I paid hundreds for. Of course that was a lifetime ago.

AVG works well for me these days

Norton Corporate edition is great, but I have no idea how they came up with those consumer products. Its the worse product on the market

Avira is great, but not as safe as Avast.

If you want pay for something, buy Trend-Micro
