I have to admit that part of the incentive for me to think about quitting last decade was after i made my first million.... I was thinking damn, life is good, people are good and here I am killing myself. What's the fucking point? GROW THE FUCK UP.

If youve got hopes and ambitions you have to think that way. But then....... you know, when you realise that each one has like 2000 chemicals (the effects of which from some of them are unknown) it brings it home. Actually that site i gave above has a lot of factual info, make sure you read it:

Wow, 27 years old here, been smoking 50% of my life.

I was planning on giving up smoking because the damn sigarettes cost a whopping 5 euro's a pack in Holland. And they will kill you eventually.

Then I moved to the Phillipines and sigarettes are just too fucking cheap her NOT to smoke.
Planning on quitting when I hit 30. Should be back on track when I'm 45 if I have to believe the quoted. Not too bad.

Yes, stopping was one of the best decisions i've ever made:

No smelly mouth, clothes etc.
More stamina
Real hard erection
Better smell and taste
More money
Teeth are white again
Reduce changes for lungcancer and other shit
And so on....

You must be a real dumbass to smoke, don't you think?

Oh, i smoked for almost 20 years...stopped for a little over 5 years now

I'm nearly 4 years quit now.

From my personal experience, I'd say the more you build positive associations to be free (and negative associations toward smoking if necessary) the easier it will be.

When I would 'quit' in the past, I'd go back because I didn't have enough strong associations to make it stick, I always went back within 3 months. Not this time.
