Will I make more money by charging less?
I noticed that when I was charging $4.95/month for premium access on my freesite I was getting a good amount of steady signups, then when I raised it to $6.95 the signups all but stopped.
Im about to send a mailing out and wondering if I should drop it back down to $4.95/month before sending this out. Maybe its the Walmart mentality that when you charge dirt cheap prices people will pay easier |

You answered your own question.
(assuming nothing else changed) In some cases if the price is too low it can scare people off. |

well 4.95 is a common price, whereas 6.95 just looks odd. 9.99 might even perform better than 6.95.

I agree that $6.95 is kind of an odd price in comparison. Are you making more money with it overall? You may want to do some testing in 2-4 week increments.
