Medium Pimpin NATS4 e-mail

Just got this e-mail from Medium Pimpin, thought I should get this clarified here..

It says:

2, Some of you have reported having standing balance in our old backend. We would like to request that all of you having previous sales that has not been paid out for to email [email protected] with your account info and they shall be added in to your NATS account.

So if I'm reading this right, instead of you doing a database report to see which accounts have a positive balance and moving the money over yourself, you're asking every single affiliate to login and do this for themselves?

...Why?

Got that email to, and was wondering the same.

Maybe someone accidentally marked the payments as sent; or it was set to automark, and they're unsure which payments were issued. Those are the two most likely culprits.

We are talking outstanding balances as in people not reaching their minimum payout. NATS does not import that.

Anyone that did reach their payout already has their check in the mail like normal.

Sorry if I was being unclear.

And for the record, I have brought this up with TMM support prior to asking people to contact us. It was a last resort thing and anyone that has been in touch has had their outstanding balances added to their accounts already.

I'm still confused to be honest.

You're saying that, assuming your min payout is $100, every single affiliate account that had $99 or less got set to $0 when you did your move?

How is that even close to acceptable?

Maybe we need John in here..

At least you guys are being honest about it, sent us an e-mail, says "important update" in the subject, etc.. No problems there.

However a less scrupulous program owner could turn this into an "oops" moment and pretend they didn't notice thousands of extra dollars in grey-area money that would never ever get paid out..

Yep that's it.

It's not acceptable that's why I'm trying to solve it.
I can not change TMM's policy's, they do not import old financial stats and I'm sure they have their reasons.

If you're an active affiliate just reply to that email and I will sort it out manually.

I realize it could have been smoother but this is the only solution I'm able to offer.

Ok thanks for being up front.. Couple more questions.

Where does this database with account $'s reside? If you have the database on your server, you could just run a report, which is why I'm confused.

Is this where TMM's policy comes in or something?

What I'm getting at is that maybe they don't have a "one-click import" like a magic-wand tool for you, but surely you can ask for a report of all accounts that have balances that are not $0.00?

With that list you could go ahead and square this all up without thousands of affiliates sending you manual e-mails, only to end up with a partially fixed solution that still sees lots of affiliates losing the money they earned.

You're right but then again TMM ain't the internet police.
It's every program owners responsibility to properly take care of these things.

That and I could imagine it being a bit complicated with all clients moving to NATS from different softwares.
What if they did import it and made an error, then they would be blamed especially on a board where people loves to throw rocks.

It's an unfortunate situation but as previously mentioned, if you're sending traffic to us just reply to that email, even tell me to Go Fuck Myself and I will take a look at your account

Why is that every time I hear the phrase Nats4 it is connected to some unsolvable fucking problem? I am going to drop MP and any other program that "upgrades" to that monstrosity. The fact that affiliates are going to lose payouts unless they track past amounts down is the final fucking straw as far as I am concerned.

There are easily hundreds of programs that use NATS, and many of them will be upgrading as you were. If this is the kind of "seamless" upgrading I can expect from NATS, with lots of accounts going to $0, then clearly we have a problem that needs sorting out.

As I said, you were nice and said something... What if you didn't? I'd have no idea.

It's hard enough to manage all this shit, I don't need to add NATS 4 upgrade auditing to my list of stuff to do y'know? Like every time a program upgrades I'd need to make sure we didn't get ripped off? Fuck that.. Plus I might not even have access to their old nats stats if they didn't provide it post-upgrade..

Johhhhhhnnnn..... ;)

Cliff notes: Why should I have to login to YOUR database, to tell you what's in it?

You have better access to your database than affiliates do, obviously.

Still not clear on that.

Again I'm sorry this is NOT an attack on Medium Pimpin, I have no problems with your company or how you're handling this situation so far, but I'm still confused about where this database is, and why the data can't be pulled in a better fashion. I'm sure you have the same question, as dealing with a list of accounts is far easier and less time consuming than answering hundreds of less than pleased affiliates on a one to one basis. ;)

I would say that's where the policy comes in but I really don't want to comment on how or why. All I know is they've gone out of their way to help us move to NATS and I'm sure any company policies exists for a good reason.

I realize it's troublesome for affiliates and if I find out a better way I shall go that path but for now I'm doing it manually as the emails drops in.

I really can't comment on all of this, it's out of my expertise.

However, I'm not asking you to login to any database simply reply to the email.

Maybe other programs has solved it differently though?

Can you explain how we can login to the old backend to get our outstanding balance if the old login page goes 404? How does an affiliate login to the old backend?

You don't need to track it yourself, just email me your username at [email protected] and I will do it for you and send you a summary.

You can access old stats here http://ps5.mediumpimpin.com/members/

I don't think it shows outstanding balance though but I need to go through each accounts payouts.

Yeah that was my next question, but I had like 15 pending questions out already heh

You probably want to re-mail all affiliates with instructions on how to get to the old system and links to it.

Well any questions about TMM's way of doing things I could not address.

I will get with them again see if we can figure this out, I could see lots of companies getting heat over this in the future.

An email is sent but when I login to the backend using the link provided and click on "stats" it still goes 404. To be honest I have absolutely no idea what you guys are trying to tell us right now. If you have the information then why do we need to email you? I cant send it to you because I have no access to the data...... does anyone have it?

Anyway I hope other programs consider this fiasco before choosing Nats4.

I'm currently adding in your sales.

I've contacted TMM again I'm hoping we can figure this out together and, I certainly would not call NATS4 a fiasco it's pretty out there in many ways. The stats reporting is state of the art and the fact that they support cookie less tracking I think is great.

We'll get this solved somehow in the meantime if you can't wait just kee emailing me.

Oh and make sure the URL has ps5 as the subdomain and it won't 404, sorry about that I need to change the PS5 setup.

I'm making one post here as my days of arguing with GFY are long gone.

This was not a NATS3->NATS4 upgrade. This was a move from PS5->NATS4.

We do not import old/stats financial data from other backends into NATS when moving over to NATS from another software. This data is often times a mess and incomplete.

However, if we are provided with a listing of affiliates and their previous balances from the program owner we are more than happy to reflect those balances in the new NATS system. We are not going to figure out your existing affiliate system and create it for you tho (this is a general statement, not directed at MP).

Directed at MP: MP is a great company who has made sure they're doing everything they can along the way to make the move proper. There was a bit of a misunderstanding as far as importing old financial data and I've spoken with natkejs about it. As soon as he shoots the dump over balances will be reflected.

If you have any questions on it you're welcome to contact me, I'm easy to get in touch with. However as all GFY seems to wish to do these days is sit around and sling shit at people I'm not wasting my time with a pissing match over nonsense (again, not directed at anyone in particular in this thread, just a general observation). If you have questions, feel free to contact me.

Thanks John, I will get on this in the AM.

Sorry everyone for the mess,
I will have an email sent out when I got an update.

Good night!

Cool thanks for clearing that up, I didn't get that it wasn't a nats upgrade.

So the issue here is more isolated, and basically MP needs to get you a database dump as I mentioned so you can import.

Hopefully we can get an update on that, it's way better than a million affiliate e-mails, and complete.
