what if, as a parent you KNOW MJ is rich and powerful and you will loose in court and have your name tarnished forever, or you can get a settlement. Which do you take?

the settlement will suggest to everyone he IS guilty ......a judgement hummmm, we ALL know what happens to celebrities in criminal court....

I think if you choose money over putting your childs molester in jail, when you could put him in jail AND sue him civilly and get money.. is the act of someone afraid of losing.

If Jackson was afraid, they'd have offered a plea and he'd accept and by doing so would be admitting guilt.

In the second trial he was found innocent and as I recall had quite a few celebrities that testified that they were contacted by the family and asked for money.

As for my opinion I do not believe he molested those children. I do believe he behaved inappropriately. I believe MJ was a very broken person that never developed normally mentally or sexually. All you have to do is look at his history of self mutilation, and that is what all those surgeries were about, to see how much he hated himself. Its very sad that with all of his success, especially his early successes that no one stepped up and got him the mental help he needed. How anybody who knew his early history could think that he came through that unscathed is amazing.

The thing about Jacko is that normally youd say "no way he would settle out of court if he was innocent" because thats a logical way of looking at it.

Jacko isnt logical as youve seen from the way he behaves, and drugged himself to death. You can make sense of what he did there, it was just his way of escaping his problem.
