I feel like if I didn't know ANYONE in the industry and I wanted to know how to get into the industry I would look up any agencies I could find, have a few pics of me taken and maybe a video or two and I would go in and try to talk to people face to face. It's a job like anything else (and at the same time unlike anything else) and you wouldn't suggest trying to apply to Burger King or a fortune 500 company through myspace of all places.
